It’s looking like anyone attending or watching the GT World Series 2025 season opener in London will witness the reveal of a new partnership for Gran Turismo, with Xiaomi set to be the latest brand to collaborate with the series.
The information comes from a pair of images that Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi posted to his social media channels during the event setup at BBC Television Centre in London.

As you can see in the interior image of the TC1 studio, the large screen at the back of the stage is prominently showing the Xiaomi Auto and Gran Turismo logos side by side. The post has since been edited to remove this image.
We’d been expecting something regarding Xiaomi at some point down the line, following Yamauchi’s previous social media posts, in which he met with the Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, and drove what we assume to be the SU7 Ultra supercar.

Quite what the partnership will entail though is a mystery for now. Xiaomi Auto is a very young company, created in January 2021 as a solution to a US Executive Order blacklisting the company which was better known as a mobile phone manufacturer.
The SU7, an all-electric four-door sedan, was its first vehicle, produced as a single-motor model with 295hp and two dual-motor cars with 664hp and the astronomical 1,525hp Ultra. It’s also set to introduce an SUV, the YU7, soon.
Xiaomi Auto recently partnered with the China Academy of Art on a concept car project which saw several novel designs that included a “Vision GT” — though it didn’t bear the official logo. A full-sized model has been produced though, along with some other vehicles that won awards at the event.
We’re bound to find out more as the weekend develops in London, adding more anticipation to the first GT World Series event of the year. Keep your eyes on our website and forums to get the scoop on what’s announced in more detail.
