A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges arrives this Friday, October 2, as your console clock rolls past midnight. Five events, seven days to clear them, and bonus tickets for finishing.

For anyone new to the format, Weekly Challenges open up once you’ve completed the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie. Each set is made up of four standard World Circuits races and one Special Event, and completing one, three, or all five of them earns a bonus ticket. The tickets land in your Gifts and need to be redeemed before the set expires. Clear everything with clean race bonuses and the cash and prizes come to roughly 1.3m credits.

This Week’s Highlights

The Special Event is a Time Trial in the Ferrari 365 GTB4 ’71, better known as the Daytona, at Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa. Bronze is 0:56.000 and pays 12,000cr, silver at 0:52.600 raises that to 18,000cr, and gold at 0:51.000 is worth 30,000cr.

The biggest payout by a wide margin goes to the World Touring Car 700 at Alsace – Village. It’s a 10-lap race for cars up to 700PP on racing tires, worth 250,000cr, with fuel consumption at 10x and tire wear at 8x. Gr.B cars also return for the first time in Weekly Challenges since June 19 (fifteen weeks ago!), when they were turned loose on Tokyo Expressway. This time the World Rally Challenge Gr.B takes dirt tires to Colorado Springs – Lake for five laps and a 65,000cr win.

Watkins Glen – Short Course hosts the European Sunday Cup 400 for European road cars over three laps, worth 38,000cr. At the other end of the scale, the Sunday Cup Classic at Autodrome Lago Maggiore – Center is a two-lap race for road cars and the smallest payout of the week at 5,000cr. Completion rewards finish with a Six-Star Roulette Ticket rather than a credit ticket.
