This week’s new Online Time Trial sends a Japanese hot hatch to England. Gran Turismo 7 pairs the Toyota GR Corolla MORIZO Edition ’22 with the Grand Prix Circuit at Brands Hatch, on Sports Hard tires.
The GR Corolla arrived in GT7 with Update 1.36 in August 2023, introduced ahead of the final round of that year’s Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup. That round was a one-make event at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, which also happens to be one of the tracks still running in this week’s continuing events. It was the fourth Gazoo Racing model to reach the game, after the GR Supra, GR Yaris, and GR86, as we covered it at the time.
It borrows heavily from the GR Yaris, including the 1.6-liter, three-cylinder turbo (turned up to 300hp here) and the GR Four all-wheel drive system. The Morizo Edition goes a step further with the rear seat deleted, forged wheels, and tweaks to the turbo and gearing to improve acceleration.
Continuing Events
Two events carry over from last week, and both close on Thursday, October 8. The BMW M Hybrid V8 and Porsche 963 are still lapping Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on Racing Medium tires. The Red Bull X2019 Competition (or Anniversary) is still at Circuit de Sainte-Croix B Reverse on Racing Soft, the same car and track as the Nations Cup final at this Saturday’s World Series round in Singapore. Our Singapore preview has the full rundown of the weekend.

Online Racing Event
Want to race this week’s combo instead of chasing it solo?
The SNAIL Racing League runs casual online races each week on the active Time Trial’s car and track, and anyone’s welcome to join. Head over to our forums to find out more!
Accessing Online Time Trials
To get into these events, you’ll first need to unlock Sport Mode by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe. Our full unlock guide is here, and a PlayStation Plus subscription isn’t required.
Once an event closes, rewards are paid out based on how close you got to the top time: gold within 3% (2,000,000cr), silver within 5% (1,000,000cr), and bronze within 10% (250,000cr).
A new event arrives every Thursday, each running for two weeks, with the oldest dropping off as each new one lands. The next new Online Time Trial arrives October 8.
