Lucas Ordoñez & Team Score Victory in ILMC Finale

GT Academy winner Lucas Ordoñez and his Signatech Nissan team may have clinched the ILMC LMP2 championship last month at Road Atlanta, but a class victory has remained just out of reach the entire season – until now!

At the 6 Hours of Zhuhai in China this past weekend, Signatech finally scored a first-in-class finish, rounding out an incredible year.

“This is a fantastic result for us,” commented Lucas. “Even though we had already won the championship it was important for us to come here and go for the win. We have had our share of problems during the season but we have never lost our focus and never stopped pushing. Five podiums, a victory and a championship are a great reward for our efforts. From a personal point of view I want to say thank you to Nissan for coming up with GT Academy and having faith in me and to Signatech Nissan for continuing my education as a racing driver.”

Once again, congratulations to Lucas and the Signatech team on this awesome result!

WOW stop wasting our time and get back to working on GT5 you stupid bunch of slackers! I could make a better game in my sleep!

    /stupid troll comment

I’m actually surprised I didn’t see a comment like that here! lol

I know right? Lucas should spend his weekends modeling cars and tracks back at the studio, not wasting time playing around with these cars. In fact, why aren’t all the GT Academy guys put to work? The DLC isn’t going to make itself. And I refuse to play the game until they fix the shadows!;-)

Congratulations again Lucas Ordoñez and his team. :) Wow that must be the best winning strike ever. :D Love this team and the GT5. ;) Everything just streams out “perfection at it’s best big time. ” Congratz again. :)

I want that car in my game. I also want more european cars into GT5. *Porsche*Premium Bugatti*Koenigsegg* among others.

Well i think u know the deal with Porsche. I hate EA sometimes. Porsche made some really nice cars. Porsche 917K in Gulf colours is awesome, 917-30 ‘Turbopanzer’ was unbeatable in Can-Am, 959 Paris-Dakar Rally raid (a supercar in a desert), 1969-73 Carrera RS to name a few. But i’d happily have a few new RUF’s. Especially the CTR3.

What’s your opinion on the game got to do with the news you are replying to? But you’re right, I think MW3 is pretty boring.

What an achievement. Simply amazing. Congratulations again Lucas Ordonez and the rest of the team.
But… “Great drivers are nothing without great machines” vice versa. Look at Kimi Raikonene now… he wants to go back to F1.
    peace. ɷ

      I’m sorry but…:

      -Ayrton Senna/ Toleman-Hart/ Monaco GP 1984
-Walter Rorhl/ Opel Ascona 400/ Throughtout the 1982 World Rally Championship season…
-Jean Ragnotti/ Renault 5 Turbo and 5 turbo Maxi/ Rallye Monte Carlo 1981, Tour de Corse 1982, 1985.*

*Jeannot was inspirational and magnificent every time he got behind the wheel, but at those occasions he beat the Group B monsters with a 1500cc small Renault… I know, I know the 5 Turbo was a bonkers small Renault… But even so, it was not as good as the 205 T16 or the Delta S4 or even the super nimble 037…

I watched Senna the docu film the other week. Absolutely amazing, Monaco 84 was epic. Toleman being one of the worse cars that year, chucking it down with rain. Yet he was catching jean Alesi in a Mclaren at a rate of 3 secs a lap. I was also lucky enough to watch Ragnotti driving his Renault 5 Maxi at last years Goodwood Festival Of Speed. He still has amazing control over that car, doing 50-60mph 360 spins all the way up Goodwoods driveway. Epic

would be nice, yes, but i would have thought that it would have been included in the initial set of DLC. The Signatech team clinched the ILMC LMP2 title at the beginning of October at Road Atlanta, a couple weeks before the initial DLC pack was released.

to those who will argue that that wouldnt have left PD with enough time to develop the in-game car, it was pretty clear after Silverstone that they would take the LMP2 title.

I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt we’ll see the car in the game any time soon.

Vettel wins champinship, we all get X2010. Ordonez and team win championship, how about we all get an Oreca 03?

  6. HKS racer

Very nice and good looking race track, I have it on GTR2 (with culmone’s texture update). A couple of fast flow corners and lot of overtaking opportunities on the hairpins. Congrats to Signatech and Lucas.

for some reason it doesnt surprise me anymore when lucas wins. :) i mean, he was at le mans and started playing gt5, and he’s a pro driver now. keep the winning streak up!!! you’re living all our dreams!!!

  8. SaintSaiya

i just wanted to say this for a long time,i just want the gt5 stiff chase cam to be like gt3 cuz its way too stiff and be able to do 360 with the camara with the right stick like ALL the other racers, i mean they can just give us the option in a patch, and im not going to stop till it happens i would go to japan and ask Kaz if necessary ,thanks.

    1. Vortex1be

Who the hell takes GT5 seriously when they drive in chase cam…

OT: Great job Lucas. Really shows how serious gamers shouldn’t be underestimated.

    1. somebodysb2

Yes but Lucas had talent in the first place. He originally had a Karting career planned ahead of me, but had to exit due to financial issues. He later then won GT Academy outright, which propelled him towards his current drive.

    2. CorporateHammer

Exactly, that talent transferred into GT5 and got him a win. To me I think it just shows how great a sim GT5 really is.
