Polyphony Digital Releases “Fascination Nürburgring: 24 Hours of Passion” Video

Polyphony Digital has shared a new video covering the atmosphere and excitement of one of the world’s largest and most popular endurance races, the Nurburgring 24 Hours.

Although GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi is a veteran of the race, having competed regularly since 2010, he had to sit out this year. GT Academy alumni still did the brand proud, though, with Lucas Ordoñez and his teammates bringing the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN car home with a 9th-place overall finish.

Classy video that highlights the importance of dynamic time and weather in racing games.

Not to feature these is very…

    …uncivilized.

I have a strong suspicion that Kazunori-san has mixed in scenes from the GT7 in this video. Especially the beginning. After seeing Driveclubs flora upclose, then GT7 could also do it and add their more extreme attention to detail. If this is the case then they will shock all when they finally release their trailer.

PD puts out a great video and on this site it’s GT7 this and GT7 that. Just enjoy the video! It has NOTHING to do with future releases.

All aboard the hype train again! Jokes aside, that was an amazing video! Really captures the essence of the Nurburgring!

If the beginning scene is from GT7, which I doubt, then, that would be one of the reasons why the game is taking the time to develop. The graphics department may of had a real-life overhaul.

Agreed. It takes a lot of effort to put together so many opinions from so many people into such a quick thematically flowing dialogue; and the images they chose to show throughout were great for people who have never been there. I love the fire barrels with the outline of the course blow-torched in the sides.

It was friggin awesome. It did flow about as well as anything could have. I love it when PD does these videos.
