Polyphony Digital has released the video from Kazunori Yamauchi and Mikail Hizal’s run at the 1000 Miglia. It’s cinematic and beautifully shot, following the pair over the five days and roughly 2,000 kilometers they spent driving classic Toyotas across Italy in June.
Polyphony Digital has attached the Gran Turismo name to one of the most prestigious events in all of classic motoring. The studio has organized a new official offshoot of the historic Mille Miglia, called the “1000 Miglia Gran Turismo Experience”, and series creator Kazunori Yamauchi is in Italy right now driving it himself.
After the highs and lows of the last 12 months of competition, Mikail Hizal has lifted the trophy in Monaco to become the GT Sport world champion. Hizal will now head to Paris next month to take the accolades alongside the champions of physical motorsport including Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Ott Tanak.
