Tokyo Motor Show 2017

When the Mitsubishi Evolution ceased production last year, many thought that the name would be retired for good. Now, Mitsubishi has resurrected the legendary Evo name at the Tokyo Motor Show… for an electric SUV.

What do you get when you combine charming, classic good looks with all the conveniences of modern motoring? Yet another concept at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, as it turns out. In this case, we’re talking about the Daihatsu Compagno DN, a reprise of a half-century old nameplate from Japan’s oldest surviving automaker.

Mazda took the wraps off two concept cars at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017. The Kai Concept and Vision Coupe both hit the show’s floor and won us over with some staggering beauty.

Honda’s kicked off this year’s Tokyo Motor Show with one of its most interesting concepts yet. Taking inspiration from its own legacy, The Honda Sports EV applies a modern look to the manufacturer’s S-car coupe range from the 1960s and looks all the better for it.
