Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: From Dusk Till Daytona

A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday, October 12.

Race A is a one-make event, as usual. Everyone drives the Nissan R34 GT-R V•spec II Nür ’02 for four laps of the Nürburgring GP circuit on a rolling start, with Sports Hard tires, BOP (M), and every setting locked. The same R34 was one of twelve cars on offer in last week’s Race A, a very different race at Tokyo Expressway with BOP off and settings open.

Over in Race B, it’s five laps of Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa on Racing Hard tires, with BOP (M), a rolling start, and brake balance the only setting left open. The category is technically Gr.4, but the Hyundai Elantra N TC ’24 is so dominant that you’ll almost have to use it if you want to be competitive.

Race C is the longest of the three, at eleven laps of the Daytona Road Course in Gr.3 cars, and it’s run in the dark. Likewise, the Jaguar F-type Gr.3 looks to be the pick of the litter here, living up to its name as a big cat that hunts at night.

Fuel use is doubled and tire wear runs at 5x under BOP (H), and both Racing Hard and Racing Soft tires are required, so the race will include a tire change. It’s another rolling start, with brake balance the only open setting.

Daily Races are the main ranked multiplayer events in Gran Turismo 7. Your Driver Rating (DR) and Sportsmanship Rating (SR) are updated after every race based on how you perform, and they determine your seeding for the game’s flagship esports series each season.

To get into Sport Mode in the first place, you’ll need to unlock it by clearing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe, and a PlayStation Plus subscription is required to race online.

With GT7’s Daily Races rolling over every Monday, the next new set should land on Monday, October 12.

† Mandatory tire change required.
