Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: F355 Challenge

A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges goes live this Friday, November 6, as your console clock rolls past midnight. As always, that means five events, seven days to work through them, and bonus tickets for getting them done.

For anyone new to the format, Weekly Challenges open up once you’ve completed the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and sat through the ending movie. Every set pairs four standard World Circuits races with a single Special Event, and finishing one, three, and five of them drops bonus reward tickets into your Gifts (they expire, so redeem them promptly). Factor in clean race bonuses and a full set is good for around 1.3m credits in cash and prizes.

This Week’s Highlights

The Special Event is a one-make race for the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94, running five laps of the West layout at Autodrome Lago Maggiore for an 80,000cr win reward. The F355 only joined the game last month as part of the Spec IV Part 1 update, so this is its first turn in the Weekly Challenges spotlight. Anyone who grew up feeding coins into Sega’s F355 Challenge arcade cabinet should appreciate the format!

The headline payout is at Sugo, where the World Touring Car 800 runs a full 20 laps for cars up to 800PP on racing tires and pays 170,000cr. Fuel consumption is set to 3x and tire wear to 4x, which means pit strategy is in play. It’s also Sugo’s return to the Weekly Challenges after two sets without it.

The remaining three races are quicker affairs. The Schwarzwald League takes German cars up to 700PP to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve for four laps and 56,000cr, while the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 pays slightly more, 60,000cr, for three laps of Kyoto Driving Park’s Yamagiwa Reverse layout in professionally tuned Japanese road cars. The American Sunday Cup 600 at Blue Moon Bay Speedway’s Infield A is the low point of the week at 15,000cr, but it’s three laps for U.S. road cars and over in a few minutes.

The set runs through midnight local time on Thursday, November 12, when the next batch of Weekly Challenges (and a fresh round of Power Pack rewards) arrives.
