The annual Black Friday shopping frenzy is almost upon us once again. What once was a single day of bargains in the USA has now extended to a week, or more, around the world, and the virtual environment is no different.
Each year there’s plenty to tempt gamers to part with their money and, though 2020 was unusual in many respects, this year is no different. There’s big discounts on many games across all genres, with up to 80% in some instances. Racing game fans are particularly well served too, with plenty of current titles seeing price reductions of a similar scope.

A PlayStation Plus 12-month Membership is reduced by 25% in all regions, coming in at $44.99 (£37.49/€44.99) — and don’t forget that you can buy it even if your current subscription is still running. That will also get you access to the PlayStation Plus collection on PS5, a suite of 20 games for no additional cost.
There’s a similar deal on Xbox too, with a three-month Game Pass Ultimate subscription cut by 40% at participating retailers. That allows gamers access to the complete library of Xbox Game Pass titles (including Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7), along with Xbox Live Gold for online multiplayer. Xbox controllers are discounted at select retailers too, with prices reduced by up to $20.
