Fanatec Announces Clubsport Racing Wheel for Forza Motorsport 6

Fanatec ClubSport Wheel Rim GT

In what has already proven itself to be one of the most active years yet for sim racers, the commotion continues with Fanatec’s recent announcement of their newest product made in cooperation with Turn 10 Studios and tailor-made for Forza Motorsport 6, an official Forza Motorsport-branded ClubSport Wheel Rim GT.

The metal wheel rim is bespoke in automobile grade leather and emblazoned with a stitched “Forza Motorsport” logo, and measures 330 mm in diameter, the same diameter as many real-life GT race cars.

    I’m trying to understand this:-

“The wheel rim can be purchased on its own and will retail for $99.95 (129.95€), or it can be purchased alongside the ClubSport Steering Wheel Universal Hub which will retail for $399.90 (479.90€).”

Does “alongside” mean it’s included for $399.99 or does it mean one has to buy both?

Either way, it’s an expensive solution for a game which doesn’t even support multi-screen.

Are there more affordable Forza 6 wheel So?

I was wrong. I honestly thought this was a one-off wheel rim. It’s a nice surprise to see that I was mistaken with this. Nice!

Looking good. $399.90 may be a bit steep for the whole set. Still great though. I look forward to reviews from this wheel and its’ counterparts. :)

$399 is not the actual price. $399 is for the adapater that the wheel mounts to the wheel is $99 but they are offering the two together soon and the wheel separately at a later date.

Of course you also have to have or buy the base which is more that the adapter.

Being one of those who bought the Forza CSR Elite and being left in the cold I will likely never buy another Fanatec product.
