The following two rule additions are effective immediately
  • Drivers are to continue to race and put their best effort the entire race night.
    • Due to the unique nature of the series and the KOQ process, this is to ensure that drivers are not left out that would have otherwise raced if given the chance
    • Of course real life situations occur from time to time as well as the random DC. This is not meant to penalize the occasional situation.
    • Continued repeat violation of this regulation will be managed at the discretion of the Series Director.
  • On race night, all main event drivers are to be in the lobby by 8:55pm eastern.
    • Any driver that is not in the room by 8:55pm eastern will lose their spot to the next alternate
    • Exception to this rule is if you reach out to me via PM or PSN msg that you are having issues and need a couple extra mins.
    • Alternates should remain on PSN and ready to join lobby if informed by the series director that they can join the main event.
    • This will be managed at the discretion of the Series Director. Please don't wait until the last minute to try and get in the lobby.
Please let me know if you have any further questions about the above

What a great night. Battles all around, spinning and sliding, a 360 or two, maybe even a 720, two wheels to no wheels, and to think this is only the beginning.
How about the pit stops? Now I have first hand knowledge, "a race can we won or LOST in the pits." My apologies to numerous guys I ran over, hope your OK.

Due to the unique nature of this weeks race at Twin Ring Motegi Speedway, the following regulations have been updated/added for this week only.
  • Grid Starts
    • Double File, Rolling Starts
  • Penalties
    • Off
Pit Entry/Exit Procedures

Twin Ring Motegi Speedway - Pit Entry-Pit Exit.png
  • Pit Entry
    • Pit lane starts on the back stretch prior to turn 3 and you must have all 4 wheels on the apron (left of solid white line) prior to the yellow dashed lines going across the apron (screenshot below).
    • Must remain on the apron all the way to the pit entry.
    • Failure to follow this requirement will result in a 5 pt penalty for each infraction.

  • Pit Exit
    • Pit lane ends on the back stretch after turn 2 and you must have all 4 wheels on the apron (left of solid white line) prior to the angled yellow dashed lines (screenshot below).
    • Must remain on the apron all the way to this point.
    • Failure to follow this requirement will result in a 5 pt penalty for each infraction.

I can not emphasize enough how important it is to follow these pit entry/exit points. I highly recommend everyone to practice this procedure (on worn tires) to get a feel for how fast you can take these corners (especially on Pit Entry) so as to not spin out and go up on the racing surface or spin right at pit entry.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know

Understood.

Parcells confirming for Wednesday's race and confirm understanding of the revised regulations.

Your skills show no bounds Grimm, the regulation changes are top notch once again...the no penalties and stringent pit entrance/exit rules sound real good! Not so sure about the double file start that seems a tad Southern y'all but what do Canadians know.

But Parcells would be amiss if he didn't point out that you wouldn't need all these extra rules had you not offered an oval track for course selection...first semi-real mistake Parcells has witnessed you make Grimm so I'm giving you a pass here bud.

This week's race is going to be a classic and it's going to suck! 👍

Question for KOQ this week, seeing as bump drafting can gain a second or more, are we supposed to run alone?

Grimm,

You've made no mention of it but I just want to confirm we are indeed supposed to drive clean even during the last 5-6 laps of the races; Reason I ask is also the reason Parcells "completely" gave up on Nascar exactly one year ago when I watched the Daytona all star race.

I'm not sure what kind of fans you and Brnt have generated with your rebroadcast of our races but if they're anything like Nascar fan's they'll want to see a wreck or three near the very end of the race which is why I'm asking.

Everyone should be racing clean as normal. Bump drafting is allowed when safe to do so.

Oh, so, no longer are you 00ParkerMo? Now you are ParkerMO Earnhardt?

I will be looking at options tomorrow and will get back to you

After looking over the options and discussing it over with a few folks, KOQ will be run as normal. Mainly because you cant run alone in "practice" mode.

How long can you set a qualifier for? Do multiple sessions if necessary? After qualifier and race starts, everybody leave track and start the next session?

We thought about that but would be problematic with trying to keep the times and depending on how the sequence of event goes, it could run long. Besides, there are other tracks where we didn't make any special concessions for KOQ (High Speed Ring, Indy Road Course to name a few).

Sorry but I guess I worded my question wrong. I didn't mean as the quali setting of race alone, I meant are we allowed to draft or not during the KOQ. If one driver gets a draft during the KOQ and another isn't able to I was wondering if that is fair. I haven't been involved with a track like this before with you guys so I'm just not sure. Sorry for the confusion, or the thick headedness on my part!

There is no way to police it though so drafting is allowed
