Yes, very good chance we will be back to the 5 spots open scenario this week as is usual,only Walt has not confirmed yet.
The first two race nights of the season usually have more drivers than spots available and the last two it gets a bit less crowded shall we say! It is the most stressful part of the night, but it does add that element to the evening that makes you appreciate the racing even more when you make it in.
I'm getting to be a pro at KOQ, I believe only once I didn't have to go thru it, and only once I missed getting in for the night. If I keep having to qualify the rest of this month, I'm sure I'm going to break the record for most KOQ sessions, :lol: :banghead: :rolleyes:
 
I hope to qualify with everyone tomorrow night! Only 6 positions available correct?

The below listed drivers (not listed in BOLD below) need to confirm their intent to race at Midfield Raceway by replying in this topic (no later than 8:00pm eastern on Race Day) with a simple post that they plan to race this week (Example - I plan to race this week). I will update the list accordingly.

I will be online tomorrow for tire and fuel testing at Mid-Field. It will be a free practice session. No practice race. Just get on track and do things. Kind of like a practice session in Formula 1 or any other real life racing series.

Lobby will then be open to all Main Event Participants @8:45pm Eastern.​

I am new here so please forgive my ignorance.

Why would someone get to skip KOQ for how they did in Touring Car Series?
If all of the people who have to go through KOQ for RCS were involved in the race at TCS it would make sense, but they don't. Nothing against brntguy winning it, the rule just doesn't seams fair to those who can't race in TCS.

When we created the TCS, we wanted a way for the two series to be tied to each other. Almost like a feeder series (TCS) to the main series (RCS). TCS is open to more drivers than RCS because of the KOQ process of RCS. We are not saying that you have to run TCS to get into RCS however it is an option to get past RCS koq. It's one of the benefits of running in both series.

But is it fair to someone who works Tuesday and can't race?
 
you still have a chance in the regular koq session. It's not like that was removed.
 
And you're fast Trucker. You shouldn't have any trouble getting through KOQ tonight.

BTW, how many people are gonna join KOQ later?

I made the top ten I don't have to Qualify. I just found out about it and wanted to talk about it.
 
Gotcha. No worries then. Like GGG said, it was a way to connect the two series. I like it because I'm in both and RCS KOQ is so tough.

I'm going to give it a shot and see if I can make it to the grid again. Jumping on to practice as I type this.

I'll be joining tonight hopefully to gain a position in tonights race, if i don't qualify then no big deal, i have other games to play, but i did practice some last night so i know how it should go today hopefully.

What time does Qualification start?
