With all due respect that's about the dumbest thing I've ever read. We all understand what you're getting at but the same rings true if you were using a controller so same difference in Parcells mind. The wheel is more immersive and more fun so that's reason enough.
Reasonable chance I could be a bit stubborn (because I am) and of course these days I couldn't drive with a controller if my life depended on it but I would never ever go back to a controller ever (the extra ever was needed).
Bought my very first console when Forza 1 came out...about 2 weeks later bought my first wheel (crappy MS wheel) and haven't used a controller since except for about 4 years ago for a couple of laps just to prove a point to myself.
Now ponder this line of narcissistic thinking...Like you the last thing I ever want to do is ruin someone else's race but if I'm being honest I'm pretty sure I've never participated in a race for other people's enjoyment. Does that make Parcells a bad person?

I started with gt 1 on ps1 and had no idea that there was even a wheel option until gt5but even when I got the dfgt I didn't have a good setup and tried to use the wheel while sitting it on my lap. Needless to say that did not work and I ended up returning to ds3. 1 year ago in April I talked my wife into getting a Logitech g27 and set it up on my desk. After I started messing around with it I just couldn't get the hang of it. I did a lot of drifting with the ds3 in gt5 but I couldn't drive a straight line with this wheel to save my life. Accelerate, spin brake and repeat. What helped me was following some of those faster guys and just stealing their braking points or braking just a bit earlier then I found that if you brake early you can let off and gives you (very little at times) wiggle room.
Sorry I've gone into a rant. After I get done at work this morning if you want to hop on I'll run some laps with you. I'm using a new view with the new rig. In running cockpit view and I can't see $#!t
but it's all in good fun.

What kind of wheel do you have? If you would like, I could run some endurance races with you so you can get a feel of what could happen in front of you? LOL I'm currently back on the DS3 and soon to buy another one because I have almost broken my analog sticks off trying to keep up to everyone here, but when gt7 does come out for ps4 you can bet i'll make a compromise in life to sacrifice getting a wheel, especially the new ts300, sounds very reasonable all the way around. I'll be looking for ways to play off of my memory rather than playing off a disc. Just have to figure out a way to cool down a HDD or SSD so they don't overheat while trying to keep up with everyone..........thinking I might have an electrical issue inside my apartment making my ps3 suffer from overheating. Either way, the box fan is working for now haha.No worries.. I'll gladly get in some practice this afternoon if anyone's around..
Nice pictures!, I'm super jealous! I used to love taking pictures, but work has really been putting a pinch on things. I have this upcoming wed. thurs. fri. sat. off so maybe I'll try to put some more effort into this forum after the race is over. Been watching a lot of nascar on youtube lately, finally I can watch an entire race without any interruptions.View attachment 337890

I have a laptop fan under both of my systems. It only cost about $15 at Wal mart and It's perfect. That and cleaning it out like I did earlier in the month. What kind of wheel do you have? zii gave you the answer right there - get some compressed air and regularly blow out the slots. The PS3 has a weird top edge where you should also get at. Also, every so often take it apart and clean it. You'd be surprised how much stuff accumulates even in a clinical environment.I have a laptop fan under both of my systems. I've watched some of videos online of ps4 teardown and im thinking about creating my own box with a box fan at one end, and using it to blow air all around the components of a new ps4 if get one, that way i don't have to worry about the processor overheating, i like the cooler underneath but its not just the cooling down that im afraid of, its actually throwing the hot air somewhere else so that it can remain cool. I almost put one of those cooling fans above an ice tray to blow cool up up into the ps3 but i was afraid of condensation on the metal pieces so i avoided doing that lol.I have a laptop fan under both of my systems. I currently have the top of my ps3 apart and its standing upright, i have a pen cap holding down the disc button in case i use a disc, but the game is now downloaded to my hard drive so i do exactly what both of you said, "can of air" at least once a month 👍@GGGMotorsport - confirmed
