You probably don't know this about me, but I'm pretty whiny. :dopey:

Also dude you get an invoice for the your amiami stuff yet? I got mine for the Delta and IDx last night. Good thing they give you a week to pay, I won't be able too until later this week. Remind me not to order any more cars at this time of year again.

I LOVE the variety @TorqueHappenS08 👍 Man, many cars I've never even seen before. Very cool.

@Niku Driver HC - Yeah, I'd love to see Feng. I'd keep an eye on the scale model thread. 👍
For a noobzter around here, you sure take your chances from the start  and with @a6m5 no less.
 Still, I'm the politest, easiest going member in here, also the best looking Asian member from the Northwest, old & over 40 & over.

N.A. IDx will be worth it, I promise. *go check AmiAmi account* My order's still waiting for Car Nel Skyline(Kenmeri), big Tomica with dinosaur on the back + Coke Light Silhouette Bluebird(backorder :nervous:).

Edit:

A couple from my Japan Booster order:

Tomica Limited Vintage LV-N24a & LV-N24b Hino TC343 Ladder Truck Fire Engine(bottom 5th Anniv. is the new one)

My first shipping damage from Japan Booster(it's supposed to be attached to the right side of the ladder). Worst model this could happen to, but really, it's the largest & has most small parts, so it was also the most susceptible to shipping damage. :(

TLV LV-100a Nissan Caball Coca Cola Route Car

I sure do... Wait, what!? :odd: I may have chosen the cars with the wrong name to show first around here...

If you can, I'll post a few of them there (probably the Miura as well, just in case), so pass by and give a look.

You sure are noble and not arrogant at all, saying that. Is there an award\certificate for that? :dopey:

Yeah, shame that had to happen with your fire engine, but you've said yourself; these models are some of the largest TLV, both in size and number of breakable parts. You still got lucky, since no other part was broken. I'd say that's a sign of the quality of Tomica Limited Vintage cars. (in case you can't tell, I really have began to like these cars )

Also, that Coke Coca-Cola truck is lovely, are you going to add the boxes of bottles that come with it? It kinda looks empty without them, but nevertheless it is a good-looking truck.

And you also have the Coca-Cola Bluebird on hold!? Damm you, that is one of my dream diecasts after I heard of TLV's in the first place. :boggled: I personally think it is one of the best looking Silhouette cars in the TLV range, alongside the Tomica-sponsored Skyline...

N.A. IDx will be worth it, I promise.

Oh, no doubt at all about that, I'm sure it will be. Digging that Caball Coke truck, adorable. 👍 And sucks about the damage to the fire truck but hey at least it's only something minor that was damaged.

For my son...
Anybody know if these motorized boosters are able to push the cars thru two consecutive loops? I bought the second loop with the manual launcher(I think they use rubberband), but it doesn't have quite enough power to go two in a row.
If you can, I'll post a few of them there (probably the Miura as well, just in case), so pass by and give a look.
You bet. 👍

No, but I want this award! I deserve it, damn it!

Well, the good news is, I contacted Japan Booster on eBay, and they have offered me an exchange at no cost to me. I got such a great deal on the fire engine, I told them that regardless of the outcome, I didn't even feel the need to involve eBay(they are that good). This seller is a A+, through & through. 👍

Bluebird Silhouette is on backorder, meaning that I hope the shop can source it, but the results can be a hit & miss(my success rate's probably 80%-ish). If they fail to deliver the car, I can always ask Japan Booster. Also, thank you for the compliments on the Coke truck! I love its vintage style. :) I have another Coke truck, and it took me months, if not over a year to crack open those coke bottle crates, so you may be waiting for awhile. :p
TLV's arrived :D
That champagne Carina. Cedric box looks really cool. At least couple of good pics on that one PLEASE!
Is this guy out of his mind?!?!View attachment 272752
Well...... While I'd never pay that, it is two of what they call in sports cards "Masterpiece". They are one-offs. I'm in no way qualified or knowledgeable enough to estimate the price, but I can see them being valued at hundreds for just one of those. With one-offs, buyer determines the value(personally, I'd give him $40 lol).

Yeah, Japan Booster offered me exchange, as he had one more on hand. I told him that, or partial refund of any amount, I'd be grateful either way. It was a Black Friday deal, so even if I had to glue the thing back together, I'd still do it all over again.

Well then, keep your eyes peeled. I have some really neat cars of bigger size (say, like a Maisto 1:18 Honda S2000)... :sly:

No, but I want this award! I deserve it, damn it!

Maybe we can find a association that deals with these categories? Oh wait, there probably isn't one.

Befitting of Japan Booster's (great) reputation. 👍 When I'll think of buying a TLV, I know who to call then. No need to risk my neck with random people when there are such great professionals around, right? :)

Heck, with such a rare car, it's always tricky to find the right time (i.e. when there are available cars in stock) to get one. And if everything else fails, you already know who to call, right? Ghosbusters!!! Japan Booster! As for the Coca-Cola, you're welcome, I can dig a good old-fashioned classic car when I see one. TLV has a way of making me like Coca-Cola cars. If I had the green paper known as money, I'd go crazy and buy every single Coca-Cola themed car Tomica has ever made. Also, is it that hard to open the crates? Damm, for such small pieces, they seem to cause quite the hassle. Then again, we are talking about 1:64 scale bottle crates...

And there's something else:

cock bottle
I think Cano might bring down his censoring hammer on you for using the c-word.[/QUOTE]

I can't believe I misspelled it the way I did. I edited it before Cano come unglued.

Yes, Japan Booster is a highly recommended shop. We usually ask people to use that Lamley Group link, as Lamley is a big endorser & promoter of their store on eBay. Lastly, yes, those coke bottles are super tiny. 1/64 scale coke bottles.

P.S. I'm looking forward to the scale model posts. 👍

fffuuuuuuu Stupid Jauce played me. I was misinformed on time that I missed out the opportunity to score the rest of the Diablo GTRs. I'm extra cheesed right now.

MY TRUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCK

My condolences. At least it won't be difficult to repair.

Good thing I stopped collecting these. See new rare wheel variation....breathe in....breathe out....move on.

Next rare variation: white HW Racing livery with PR5 wheels and bent seats.

Oh I almost forgot to say. The ride height on this was awful so I lowered the front.

Does it roll? No. It's not a toy car.

How wise of you. I already dodged two bullets, he won't be anything less than Golgo 13 to nail me with the third one...

The first time I heard of TLVs was via the posts written in this thread by the head honcho of Lamley, which in turn led to me discovering Japan Booster's vast stock of great cars. And that bottle story could be either a sign of bad luck or Tomica being so dedicated to their cars that they must do every single piece with the same amount of detail. I've seen diecasts with less detail that those crates.

P.S one: I hope you enjoy those posts. 👍

P.S. two: speaking of Lamley, found this beauty on their blog:

Any thoughts about this (beautiful) Fairlady? She is one of the latest entries in the "Seibu Keisatsu" collection: The Super Z! Now with guns and gorgeous rims...

@AOS- Damn. It looks good buddy. 👍

@Niku Driver HC - I'm not a fan of the Fairlady, but I do have a soft spot for that one, because it's from the tv cop show that ran when I was a kid growing up in Japan. I do have one of the Skylines from the show(it's called Seibu Keisatsu), and it is amazing. Price is also amazing(I think I paid around $34 :(). Your post earns a "like" for mentioning Golgo 13. That's just too cool. :D

Edit: Here's my post on the Seibu Keisatsu Skyline, @Niku Driver HC

People sell 1:18 golden Aventadors for millions, when a real one is like a third of a million.
Whoa....

Money generally means a lack of taste and sense...
And a lot of greed.

Yea I don't know much about convention cars ether, but I seriously doubt they are that much.

I do like them though, the Supra especially.

Ah, so it's nostalgia value, not so much on the side of being a Fairlady, but on the side of being a "Seibu Keisatsu" Fairlady. Fair enough, nostalgia is always a solid reason to buy stuff. Kinda forgot your Japanese roots, those help with the statement of watching the show as a kid. The Super Machines are amazing, but the hole they can create in your wallet is equally amazing. Such is the problem with the "Seibu Keisatsu" series; the cars are great looking, but their value also makes them harder to get... :nervous:

Eh, you know you got to use your references wisely. As Duke Togo once said: "......" (actual quote)

And your post earned a "like" for the Super Skyline and that really nice DeSoto you also posted pictures of. :D

Nice! I see a Cedric amongst that set, but I can't quite tell what the others are. Could you clarify me on the names?

Also, all but one car have wing mirrors. Classic JDM right there. 👍

From top to bottom:
Toyota Corona
Nissan Leopard
Toyota Carina
Toyota Mark II Grande
and the Nissan Cedric

@AOS- Damn. It looks good buddy. 👍

Thanks. I was working on the K'nex frame with what pieces I had, and begun loading the shelves with the Kyoshos. I'm surprised by the amount of yellow Ferraris I've amassed all this time.

I'll gladly have a pic up soon.

Just bought $35 worth of Greenlight and M2 at Toys R Us. :nervous:

Cheap compared to spending $21 on just two Greenlight models. :p Well, technically four if you want to count the trailers for the two Hitch & Tow vehicles I bought.

I still need to stop by Toys R Us and check if they updated their Greenlight stock. But lately, I've been reluctant with the filled up parking lot every time I drive by... Curse indecisive parents/grandparents who have to go there. :grumpy:

Quality seller right there to offer you a straight up exchange. 👍 Really impressed with their service when I bought the Nurburgring 86 a few weeks ago, definitely going to get some more stuff from them in the future.

Sorry, I can't answer your question but if you ever do get that to work, I'd like to request pictures of your Silhouette's attempting this. Thanks. :D

Should be interesting, but I've been passing on almost every Retro Entertainment, so I'm not holding my breath. $5's bit much for impulse buy, and all the good one's are never seen on pegs around here. Between the collectors & scalpers, all we get are leftover peg warmers. :(

They do feature extra detailing, but yeah, if you are not familiar with the show, it's hard to justify $30+ for those cars IMO.
Eh, you know you got to use your references wisely. As Duke Togo once said: "......" (actual quote)
Absolutely priceless. Probably his most common line.👍

Couldn't agree with you more.

I'm also going to quote Duke Togo here: "............."

Just bought $35 worth of Greenlight and M2 at Toys R Us. :nervous:
I once dropped $40 on basics, plus another $20 on Premiums and other higher end 1:64s, so I ended up getting $60 worth of cars. And that was all in one store. Your $35 is pretty much nothing, if any of this helps.
