It is different. I love the selection. 👍 I have the silver, but I may like yours better(just noticed they are slightly different, too).

From my old Kyosho blog post.

A store I often check got new Hot Wheels finally.
The DB5 is quite nice. Wish the windows weren't blue though.

That DB5 is the one of the first respectably pretty recoloured castings I actually did not take to the cash register.

That NSX though, I'm still waiting to find one. *rolls eyes*

I'm hoping to find the Skyline & Ford GT at local stores, but it'll be a super long shot.
Finally found the LM002 and Dodge

I was actually able to check out all of them, but only one I'd consider's the Rover. Not for $4, $5 or whatever they are priced at Toys R Us though. Shame.

Edit: Just finished a blogpost on the black Supra from TLV:

Rims are so much more improved. Bastards. From my blogpost on the first two Supra they did.

Thanks for nothing, Tomytec. :grumpy:

The Bone shaker is now in Forza

Good to know! Thanks! 👍

And this NSX is a real surprise to me. I don't really care much about the actual car, but this particular Hot Wheels is really likable. The casting itself is nice, the paint looks fantastic IMO and I even managed to get one where the tampos are aligned perfectly.

That car surprised me too - the quality of the paint job, and the paint itself is just mesmerising - very well done and a really strange hypnotic shade of blue. Photos don't do it justice - one has to hold the real car bouncing photons.

I got my next Kyosho, it was already in the US so it came pretty quick. Wanted to get something different.
Think I'm gonna keep taking photos outside cause it's much better than in my house cause I have terrible lighting inside.

Would I be right in assuming that the background is a GTPlanet sticker on a sunroof? (Or moonroof :D )
Also - just to confirm - daylight is one of the best (if not the best) source of lighting when capturing the colours and subtle shadings of the models making them all the more realistic. Nothing like a bunch of sky or clouds reflected on the vehicle - that's where most cars IRL are: outside - and that's what cars IRL usually reflect. :)
And that's where we see them the most. (Only if we get outside, though.)

See? Now you can thank me for showing you some pics of that Supra casting beforehand, in order to clear your doubts about the rims... Weren't those pics useful, huh? :sly:

That aside, Tomica really did a good job with that Supra casting. Ok, the ride height does make the car feel like it has zero fuel with how high it is, but the remainder of its details are well-executed. I'd buy that casting over the "Non-holed rims" version any day, all day. 👍

@yabiggoose I'd give "A" on all three. Nice job. 👍
How many of y'all go to sales I link?
You don't mess around, so while I don't always buy, I always check the link. He accepted my offer on the green taxi I've wanted. Thanks Mister Ando. 👍
I sort of feel like that should have been an actual thing. Missed opportunity by Toyota.👍
Come at me, Spacebro.

I like this casting more than the TLV. :D
Went to Toys r Us in the hope of finding some Japan Historics, left with these:
I keep checking, too. Still nothing. :(

Wheels do look SO MUCH better. 👍 However, like I said above to the Spacedog, CM's casting look truer to me? I like it. Too bad the wheels suck worse than the TLV's first attempt. :nervous: :yuck:
I could never find the black one but I just found the silver Urban Outlaw Porsche 356A while I was getting things from a grocery store...:boggled:
They do seem to be rare-ish in my area, too. I've seen both of them, probably couple times, but I look often, and they are usually gone within few days.

I hid that tampo imperfection so well.

You know what I couldn't hide? This clown:

The yellow is redonk and goofy, but I bought it anyway.

Well, I will admit that the CM casting beats the TLV in terms of accurate ride height and livery, but the TLV counters back with being a good recreation of a civilian casting and those well-executed rims. CM's just look worse in comparison, and that's bad when you know that CM is famous for their quality rally casting work...

Besides, I don't really think much of the "Big Heavy Mark 3" Supra as a rally car, I prefer to remember these instead;

👍!!

Never seen that Bastos Supra before. Damn, that looks so good.👍

Well, I only found out about them after playing a rFactor mod, mainly the blue TTR Supras. But if I had to choose a favorite Mk.3 Supra livery, it has to be the Bastos. Goes well with Capris, goes well with Supras... 👍

They can layoff the workers. I'll do it for free. :P

Received this one today:

I've mentioned this before, but Mattel needs to hire you. Way you make those $1 cars glow with your skillz.
Come at me, Space Grandpa. :sly:
You need to work on your comebacks. I'm the grandpa, "space" is reserved for Jarrod.
A car whose WRC career was cut short by the Ivory Coast plane crash. The Supras were leading at the time but were withdrawn.
What plane crash & how!? I had never even seen the actual Supra rally car pics until just yesterday. Sorry.

1987. The first year of Group A.
Toyota had dominated the African rallies during the Group B years with the Celica Turbo and were set to continue their ways with the new Supra when the team was hit by tragedy:
