Word, I put it all in the bank today to pay E-Bay stuff. Totally worth it

Got a pair of Hot Cases today - they're great! Naturally since I had to take all my cars out to re-sort them into the new cases, I took the opportunity to take pictures of my whole collection. Haven't counted my cars in a long time, and the count as of today is 395. Only 5 away from 400! But that'll be rectified soon I took almost 100 pictures, though, so rather than spamming this page with ImageShack links, I'll just link the album.

They are nice, especially seem nice for the loose cars, but I've already invested in cheap boxes from Walmart. I think they are like $5.99 or something, and I have six of them:

Still waiting for the Matchbox cars I got on eBay, but here's the second Greenlight Diorama I've bought so far:

I had to pay over retail on this one, because it's the series one, which is very hard to find without paying premium. I wanna say I paid about $14 $17.99( ) on eBay. I got it for the green Bullitt Mustang, but the Charger totally stole the show! Amazing looking car. 👍

since you like pressing buttons that make things pop out: the Magane, I discovered, has a little switch in the rear (little arrow tampo points the way) that releases the insides, so that the whole seating/dash assembly comes out through the tailgate.

I put my cars in this night stand, it holds 30 cars per drawer if i pack it in right matches my room and serves for storing other things =D

its a "cheep" hobby to , all the other hobbies nickle and dime the crap outa you =/ You can collect 1$ cars and get some pretty good stuf of you can drop 20$ for a rare car , then again that's the price of two Rc engine spark plugs XD or three paints for a model kit

I doubt it was the same one. Greenlight have newer Bullitt dioramas that are available for about $7(full msrp I think is $12), but they are not the series 1. Even the series 2 are harder to find. I can go out buy the series 5 Bullitt dioramas right now for $7~$8. I also just bought series 3 diorama featuring Terlingua Mustang, which I covet, also off eBay. That's the one I actually paid $14 for. Also above retail, but I'm not gonna find one locally, so oh well. *shrugs*

All my collection is loose (as you can see from the pictures) so I can't just put my cars in containers. I tried getting a normal plastic 100-car box like the 2 I have already online but all the ones that wouldn't fall apart immediately were out of stock. So I got the Hot Cases instead. Expensive, sure, but it's not just the box, it's also the foam inserts that you put the cars in that protects them extremely well. I like my cars protected, and this is a great way to do it. Plus, they look almost like display cases since the boxes are transparent and you can see the cars inside. 👍

One of the car boxes I have (my brother has a second one) is a very cheap box from AC Moore. Only holds 30 cars or so but incredibly cheap and durable. I tried getting more when I needed to invest in more storage (which ended up in the Hot Cases), but they didn't have them anymore.

I was going to start working on building my first case today, but then skateboard stuff came in the mail.

I'm definitely going to need another tub, a much BIGGER tub if I want to store my current collection in stackable trays that will sit in tupperware.

I cant take a pic sorry , but reealy thats the set , there was a bunch from different movies , hell i can recal what I bought that day, I bought the 90's street beast and a team hotwheels drag car * the 90's one*

Went to walmart looking for a gag gift for my wife and ended up purchasing a few. ill get pics later, but i picked up an assortment:
A FTE Furai in white (there was one with silver wheels instead ofthe FTE orange, but it was in a three pack)

Surprisingly i purchased two matchboxes which seemed to be in stock at this walmart: a Batmobile i think is arse ugly and a holden ute.

I think my fav of the haul is a cheap maisto casting of the ford f150 raptor. Im not too muc of a fan of trucks but the raptor is so aggressive. A wheel swap will make it complete.

I was origonally looking for the decades 86... They had the 70s car and the 90s mustang but no hachi

That's some amazing stuff Driving Park! And those JGTC cars, who makes them? So jelly over those R34s.

I definitely agree with you on the Maisto F-150 Raptor OtakuTaikun, probably the best one they make in their cheap series. Just holding it feels nice, but it desperately needs a wheels swap.

Walked into a local Wally tonight and was sifting through the half empty pegs when the employee in toys asked me if I wanted to look through a box she was planning on bringing out. Obviously didn't turn in down.

Only bought another Ranchero TH from it and got to keep the box for storage. Pegged the rest of the cars for her as there was nothing else I didn't have.

No super TH.

R1600 already commented on it, but Hachiroku(80's series) is plenty available in certain area. Just last week, my Walmart had about four of them.

I'm saving up to get even more, since it's July and my B-day month, so I'll use that as a excuse to find and buy more .

Yep, like what A6 said, it's a cheap hobby if you stick to the normal ones, but you'll soon venture into the other types once in awhile. Just save up.

Sorry about double post.

Just got back from my local Wal-Mart. They had put a couple cases in the dump bin, but didn't find any TH's. I think I was the first one there as a bunch of the cars were still stacked together like they would be packed in the box. Weird. I did manage to pick up a Chevelle error that has backwards windows.

Also, they stocked the Matchbox with new stuff as well as the Hot Ones. I picked up an extra CRX if someone here wants it, let me know.
