They're all really nice. I have the whole set of six, but I left the rest of them at my parents' house when I moved out and they ended up boxed up somewhere when my parents turned my old room into an office years back. Hopefully I can find them eventually. I actually bought my set at the JGTC exhibition round they did back in 2004 at CA Speedway.

The WedsSport Celica and the NSX are among the nicer ones from the set. There's a second series that as far as I know was only released in Japan (boxed as Tamiya instead of Muscle Machines), maybe I can track it down someday as it has a bunch of other favorites like the Calsonic and Xanavi GT-Rs and the Au Cerumo Supra.
Wow, Tamiya set sounds really cool. I somehow get the feeling that the pricing won't be as cool.

I got mine on eBay from a seller named gt3man. AKA: Jason

I'm starting to realize that I have gotten back into collecting at quite possibly the best time humanly possible.

Why?

Every time I see the first page of this thread: 1) I always see SVX's avatar. :P 2) I see Jason's Matchbox SLR and go "doh!" at my timing, getting in the hobby.

Because I came in early enough to get the good 2012 Hot Wheels and just in time for the great 2013 cars and serieses from many of the manufacturers.
I dunno, I like my timing. :yuck:

Yeah yeah, I went back and looked at it. I eBay'd them and between the two cars carded, I'd be down $30. :grumpy:

I've never even seen the Civic in person, haha. All my local Targets have are endless Chrysler Prontos and Twin Mills, plus one trashed Delorean that's been there forever.

I've never seen the Pronto in a Target, I think the Twin Mill once. Usually Hot Tub, Civic Si or Whatadrag.

Welcome to the thread, Dwight. 👍

Welcome to the crew! :D:tup:

Thanks!

You know in the 2 and a bit years I've been a member here, I've never subscribed to any threads.

Anyway, welcome. 👍

Ha, I usually just bookmark a forum or pin a tab, but this is this first thread in awhile that I've actually wanted to specifically visit often.

Anyway, went into a Target today for some food and found some fresh 2013s that I didn't have yet.

I've been kicking myself for ages, for not getting into this hobby sooner.

I really don't want to think about all of the awesome stuff I've missed out on. :indiff:
Well, there's the first M3!

Man, I can't wait to get back down to school after break so I can check my Target for those cars!

Well, there's the first M3!

I know. :D

I've decided to keep the Bronco. Too cool to let go. I would think about keeping the Dodge Power Wagon if it had a better paint job.

And my $uper Focus sold on eBay for $9. Not bad I guess, still a 800% profit.

I checked my Target last night. Still had old cars. I scanned one on the price scanner to see if there were any more in the back and it said "Available in stockroom: 0" so I guess they don't have any. Might check again tomorrow just in case.

My latest buys from the local flea market and my last buys for the year.

Love that emerald green Caddy. I've tried bidding on that one couple of times, but failed both times! :D

I got some newer cars in the last haul, but all the cool cars were gone.

P.S. God, I wish you gave me a link to the Focus auction. Car is worth more than that, and I'd have paid you more than that.

I have that that Hot Rod Magazine 100% set.
I love it and don't regret opening it. I really need to get more 100% sets.

What about your "don't bid until the end" advice?
I'm not somekind of lowlife. :P yeah I am lol Actually, I forgot that you can see the name of the bidder, if you are the seller.

To be honest, I don't care for the car enough to actually win the item. I have ten bucks on it now, and it's certainly worth that to me, loose.

See, I might get a good deal, you get another bidder, everybody's happy! :D

I've been good when it comes to eBay. Just bought a car for $3.99 shipped. Finally nailed the Toys R Us 10-pack Miata for cheaper than the $8 everyone else was asking, got the plastic wing 350Z for $2.25 shipped, and scored the first release Matchbox Supra for $.99 + shipping.

Deals.
