I may go looking for the 510 wagon again tomorrow. We'll see.
Absolutely unacceptable for people to ship carded diecast in padded envelopes.
Especially when the car's valued so frigging high(it can go for around $50). I'm going to give him the true neutral feedback, which is no feedback at all. @AOS- The card is similar to the standard cards in both the size & thickness, and no, I won't be uncarding this one. :P

Oh, I can imagine.

Edit: Speaking of high rates, this is ridiculous, lol.
I'll take your word for it.
My recent attempt at one:

It's from Jason's auction. lol

Seriously though, going rate on eBay here still seems to be around $85 to $100-ish, maybe plus shipping.
I wish mine was still carded, but I'm glad it's loose. :dunce:

I can't believe you haven't found it yet. The other day I took five and left behind eleven of them. Those five were added to the stash I already have. Must have like 15 of them now, all of them destined for the drill with the obvious exception of the three variations.

Cars from my collection
Super vans.

We've observed this before. Some casting being harder to find in certain areas. Could be that the castings more popular there, not many got shipped there, or simply the cases containing the casting's showing up in all the stores you don't frequent. To be honest, I'm actually enjoying this in a kind of twisted way. It's an amusing sort of a hunt.

I'm still betting that the this is the case where some of these 510 wagons start appearing really late in the game. Our Fred Meyer stores are one of the mainline hot wheels powerhouse around here(Kroger chain), and these guys sometimes get cases of hot wheels that are weeks to maybe even months old. Their inventory movement on these things are nothing like Walmart, who seems to be the only stores with the latest hot wheels, at least in my area.

Most of my Walmarts and Meijers have N case cars out now. The Walmart that I work at is almost out of cars on the pegs (not because of me) so hopefully we'll get some new cars. We don't even have a dump bin yet.

I used to have that fire truck (top one, merryweather i think), it had grey wheels though. It was the oldest diecast iv'e ever owned.

My haul today. All for $7 thanks to Walmart price matching K-Mart and the cashier not knowing the difference between basic cars and premium. Yes, the one that is mis-packaged is from Walmart. It's a 2004 model.

That's my plan on the road trippin series as well, to customize them. Eventually. I've got to but the tools first.

Have you guys seen the Star Wars car that Death Star track set comes with? I've yet to pull the trigger on any Star Wars cars, but at $3.47 or whatever, if I could get that Death Star set car by itself, that'd be the one I'd buy.

Edit: Here's the set, but the car actually looks lot better in person:

Funny, I have no interest in that one but will buy most of the single releases.
Actually, that makes perfect sense. Consistency.
Yep, pretty much. Not into Hot Wheels track sets at all but I will say that the Death Star does look pretty cool.
It's a flat Death Star covering the loop & from what I understand, you "blow up" the Death Star by driving the car into it(or the loop covered behind it). I saw it again today while looking for 510 wagon, but we are more interested in racing sets now, so I passed. These Death Star sets are only $10.

Same story today, no 510 wagon. Just these.

One Land Cruiser(w/Lamley stripes lol) for me, the other two for my nephews. I thought I may like the Mustang more, but I guess I was spoiled by the fleet of Greenlight Mustang patrol cars I already have. *shrug*

Can you believe I haven't found any either? Check last page to blow your mind!

Lol yeah I saw them. I didn't know about the three types of grilles until Jason mentioned it here. So I started checking out the 10 or so extras I had and, indeed, there was the "almost grille" variation.
