I went on a midnight walmart run hoping to see people restocking but nope...

I did pick up a matchbox gt3 rs (i love the matchbox conccave wheels) and a maisto camaro. Lol i only picked up the camaro because of its sick stance lol

shame on ANYONE who opens TH'S!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't exactly say that around here... Most people enjoy cars and the feeling of opening them is much better than only being able to look at them through a plastic package. It's a person's choice to do what they would like with their collection. Loose or not, it's theirs and they can choose what they would like to do with it. What's the point in buying toy cars to keep them in packages when all you can do is look at them. You'll never uses your other senses on it, like touch. You may choose to not open them, but you don't have to say such a thing towards people who enjoy opening their packages. Think about others before you say something like that... It may be offensive.

As RaceGrooves demonstrates:

It's called investment. A car in a mint blister will ALWAYS be worth more than one that's been opened.

Ditto.

I know, but just speaking out for those who see it that way. Personally, I'd open them as well. But there is a plus side to keeping them in package... There's always value involved in collecting, so I understand that. :p

I have no problem with people that open their cars. So what, they're not in it for the future investment. But the constant bickering between the two is childish and hilarious if you ask me.

I think it comes down to this; I've gotten to the point where I won't keep cars if they are trapped; I'm not talking about supermarket stuff, but old cars I've had the chance to buy and have passed on them, or cars that I've gotten carded, I prefer to sell them off or trade them and play the patience game until a loose one falls in my hands.

Luckily for you I haven't found one yet, because as soon as I find one I'm opening that sucker. R16 is right though, bickering about it is stupid. I have no problem with people who keep their entire collections in the blisters and buy them solely for future investment. Not what I do at all and I don't necessarily agree with it, but I have no problem with it and those on the other side of the proverbial fence shouldn't have a problem with me opening the super TH that I'll finally find when I'm 64. :p

Anyway, I hit the local Wal-Mart and Target today, and was yet again disappointed. The Wal-Mart STILL seems to not have any new stuff after a few months and many restocks. That said, there were a few cars I liked that weren't there before, so I picked them up.

That JL Dodge Monaco taxi was just too good to pass up. Love the HW Racing paint Challenger in white, it looks awesome that way. I'd seen the HW Superbird before but the paint was applied terribly. :grumpy: Glad to find one done right. The GTX1's livery is pretty bad, I'll admit, but it's a paint job I don't have for the GTX1 (I have 3 others) so I picked it up. Plus, it matches my red/yellow Cobra.

Enjoy my rough sketches of railroad locomotives underneath. :dopey:

That Challenger is available in Black too.

I don't care about opening normal cars but a treasure hunt, they make a limited number, preserve the things =/ its like if i were to pop open the rarest hotwheels in its case XD

I wasn't trying to start an argument about opening and keeping in packages. I was only describing how others feel about it... Also, it's not really a "joke" when you put in caps like you're shouting. It's hard to get a sense of tone over text. Anyways...

I never really liked Cars 2 products, despite being a nice way of getting the younger crowd into the automotive world. But after seeing this, I might actually look into buying at least one of the products... Unfortunately, it seems like it's only at K-Mart. Which is no where near my town.

I find (can't remember the name) the Japanese LMP character interesting, so I might get the normal casting of that. As well as "Celine" which looks a lot like an Alfa Romeo Spider with the CORRECT eyes!

I like the Alfa Romeo Spider, however I don't know if this is only a "Chase" piece casting... And only at K-Mart. :(

I got that Japanese race car one for my nephew. There was what looked like a Focus rally car I got from K-Mart, with rubber tires. My nephew told me next week that one of the tires already came off, and he can't find it.

P.S. They also have Japanese Scion xB/Bb look alike police car. Been looking for that one.

Yeah I think I've seen that a few times. Weakest color on that in my opinion, I like the blue one I have better. But I may pick it up if I see it again nonetheless.

No.

its like if i were to pop open the rarest hotwheels in its case XD

Which I would do.

OK, here's what I've been up to:

From Walmart. A-Team & Karmann Ghia's are couple of weird old find. Johnny Lightning's are aces. Jeep Cherokee's unbelievably good.

I'm glad I stopped collecting awhile back. Too many cars!

Yeah, right....
I did! You wouldn't believe the restraint I've shown last few weeks. All those cars I've put back, and refrained from bidding on eBay...... Then again, I gotta hit Walmart tonight, so I'm not promising anything.

Those Matchboxes are beautiful.
Seller had bunch more, including many more I'd have bought, if I wasn't trying to control my "habit". I went after the RX-7 after Cano posted his, 280Z & F1, I couldn't avoid seeing, unfortunately. :p Seller helped me out with the price & shipping, so I had to get them.
oooo ace grabs, that Javelin! And the Boxed Matchboxes, awesome.

Oi, how much are those JL?
Thanks man. 👍 Johnny Lightnings are $3.47 each, from Walmart.

Oh just admit it, you didn't stop and you're not going to. :sly:

I've only slowed down because I almost never find anything now. However, I did return with a 28-car purchase less than a month ago, remember?

2012 cars (I don't have) are still going to be atop my priorities, THs technically being the first but I'm never going to find them in Walmarts so it's now 2nd priority.

I'm now making my 3rd priority cars with wheels I want... for wheel swaps, especially when the price is reduced to $1. I'm going to go nuts on those days.

Amazing haul a6m5! That Jeep looks awesome and definitely still trying to find the Karmann Ghia... :( The older MBs look great.

Can't wait for the 914-6! But I can wait much more than those people who paid that much. Out of the Boulevard cars, I just wish I could have found the Delorean and Grand National. That's one thing I regret about starting later this year. :ouch:
