Good stuff, these updates are pretty good. We have a totally different, improved game now, compared to what we had on release.

And I want to win the lottery ...

Let's face it people, everything we want they give us the opposite.

May aswell ask them to be less like Forza, may give us a few cars and tracks then!

 You must have ticked them off

Love this update, 3 major things have got me mega excited for it and they are the Aventador, The Aston Vantage and the new route 'x' track. This update looks pretty great to be honest.

Hopefully they quickly add in an option to drive premium convertibles with the top up or top down. Not worth purchasing a convertible in hopes of driving it with the top down, when you realize you can't.

I find it strange to pay 4$ for an oval track and the fact that driving on oval tracks makes no sense (to me) :D

But yeah I dont have to, I know, the standard answer will come ;)

I think they are selling it as a "game mode", Speed Pack, where you can test your car at all. It's a track that does more than a regular one. Of course I agree too that it should be in the original disc, but... it's a long story, right...

I'll buy every single bit of it anyway because its quality stuff.

Hopefully there won't be any stupid online restrictions for this track. *cough*Spa*cough*

:O Awesomness! Can't wait for it.

Hopefully there won't be any stupid online restrictions for this track. *cough*Spa*cough*

Stupid online restriction? You mean... you actually have to have bought the DLC to get benefit from it?

👍

I'm amazed they let people run it for free for months to begin with.

I'm older by this sites standards, I have a job, I have rent, I have a car payment, I have several larger bills a month. But people, $12 is 2 trips to the burger joint.

Can't imagine car dealers would sell many cars if the disallowed test drives. Adding Spa to Seasons was smart though.

I didn't think it was weird at all that they did allow it. Gears of War 3 allows DLC maps to be played by participants if the host has it. What does piss me off is they didn't update A-Spec events! The precedent was set with GT5p when it went Spec 2 or 3. Single player events were added.

Just like with game save activations now being limited to 2, they are taking steps backwards! Meanwhile Apple (notorious tight wads) recently added sharing of iTunes content and apps. We have 3 PS3's in our family and 4 iPhones.

I'm not so quick to buy DLC and PSN games anymore. I am begrudgingly purchasing GT5 DLC. The only reason I am is because that game is why I am a PlayStation supporter. It's harder to defend the platform now that they have taken the 5 system DLC weapon.

I bought it, so I'm don't care because I own it. However, it is frustrating hosting races when everyone and their dog requests the track except for 3 or so people that don't have it.

When I host, I try to cater to as large an audience as possible, so I arrange races that everyone can participate in.

It was nice before, because if you didn't own it, you couldn't practice on it unless it was online.

The ownership issue is kinda moot, especially with the track available in the Seasonal Events. Even those that didn't purchase the DLC can still race the track and participate in those races. Using your logic (and nothing personal), why should people that didn't purchase DLC be able to participate in that Seasonal Event.

It's the same answer I gave: PD tries to cater to as large an audience as possible.

Hopefully it'll be fixed with the update.

As brake fade is not included in the game I dont think this is likely (or necessary).

I hope for some fixes to allow full lobbies to run properly!

But why can`t both brake fade and the ability to buy upgraded brakes, either as a pack or in pieces ie better fluid, then better pads, then better (cross drilled etc) rotors and finally bigger (multi piston) shiny red calipers and rotors to suit, be included. More realistic and it is the driving simulator after all :sly: Also it`s worth mentioning the brakes issue is routinely high on the wish list from people here on GTP :dunce:

Perhaps it's too difficult to accurately represent. In GT4, the option was available (albeit packaged, compared to your individual component list), yet when it was installed was shown to do absolutely nothing in terms of game play. It was nothing more than a waste of credits, with absolutely no in-game benefit other than simply having it.

I think PD realized this, and has been working on it to un-satisfactory ends. Brake fade is hard to determine, seeing as how everyone brakes differently and different compounds wear differently...

And of coarse, when a system is in place, someone else will be unsatisfied with it, so it'll need a couple of patches. Then even more patches to fix any glitches it causes or that may arise during it's development.

Simply put, would you rather have a brake upgrade option, or more cars and tracks (lets pretend more cars doesn't mean Skylines, Miatas, etc.)?

I would love to have the top speed oval track again like in every GT games and the cars in the DLC this time are awesome but I don't like buying DLC I never buy it I wish it could be free like it was in the previous GT games I mean if I bought DLC I might as well pay for twitter followers, or buy Facebook credits or buy likes and fans I think that is the same thing but I guess since I really want these feature I guess im gonna have to waste my money on something I just wanna test out for a week or month I mean everyone waste money on something at some point so why not throw GT5 some free money

For a minute I was like what you talking about that had nothing to do with my post I had to look and look I did not even notice that one comma you're good I mean Investigator good

The test track should be free or include a road course version. It adds car testing records(a little late PD), paying for a this doesn't seem right unless in includes more than just testing.

So I guess the questions can now go back to the XL disk. That has fallen silent with the announcements of the NSX, 2.03, and the DLC. They're pushing a disk that comes out next week with fewer details than the DLC.

He's had that signature for quite a few months now, actually. I knew I wasn't the only one who found that a bit suspicious.

The 2.03 update details didn't mention that it would fix the "game-breaking online flaw" that everyone has been all over lately. I'm a bit concerned that the issue may not be resolved by the time this patch arrives.
