2006 V8 Engine Video

So I did some searching on my own and came up with a clip of one of Cosworth's V8 engines for next year. It's cool but nowhere near as moving as the V10's.

It could be the room its in but i think it sounds less louder, sounds less powerfull BUT a bit more deeper sound which is good. Nice find BTW 👍 .

That video is a little missleading from what I heard of the V8s out on the track. This video has the engine sounding a little bit more of a honk to it, compared to the more squawk-like sound I heard of them. Notice the RPMs are at least 9,000. The engine sounds different at lower RPMs. The engines sound more "meaty" than what the video reveals.

But, 20,000 RPMs is damn impressive. Cool video.

The reverberation of the room and the postion of the mic have some effects to the sound, but I can hear the obvious differences. There's no way the V8s I heard were reaching 20,000 RPM. The lack of higher RPM takes a huge count of what I heard.

Did anybody notice how awesome the cars sounded on Suzuka compared with the rest of the courses? I did. The Japanes must have put audio mics all over the place.

now if only it wasnt rev limited to 20002... i wanna see a video going all the way up to 22000rpm. other then that its a great vid. it sounds pretty good. i enjoyed it. what are they making you think? its supposed to be 750-800hp isnt it?

If they still make the same power/litre as the V10s it should be around 750BHP.
