Hey sorry about the long hiatus, but yeah, the Heat suck.
I dunno it seems like we keep blowing it in the second halves of most games, and can't seem to close out on the perimeter or defend in the keys moments of a game. We need to build team chemistry and play Dorell Wright and Daequan Cook much, much more.
Other teams pulling away, or beating your team late in games, that pretty much is a obvious sign of a bad team. Good teams are the ones that just pulls away, when they just "turn it on" in the key stretches of games.
Like how amazing it is with the dominating Celtics, I just don't get the Lottery-Heat. Even with injuries, I think they should be winning a lot more.
I'm really sad about Zo, apparently his career really is over. He's not the greatest person ever by any means, but he's been one of my favorite players.
I used to really like him. A great post player. One of my favorite post-up moves, I stole from him(I think he stole if from Hakeem

).
How about Shaq though? Is he as good as gone too or what!? If you can't utilize a center like Shaq, I'd blame the coaching. I haven't seen him play in a while, but Shaq I remember, granted, is a slow & old dude. But he is a pretty good scorer from down low, plus he's a good passer. If they had couple of decent long range shooters on the team, they should be winning at least 50% of the games with that, right there. Shaq doesn't need to be young, or quick. Just post up inside, try to get a easy basket over a smaller defender. Most of the time, additional defender will come to help, "BAM!", you hit the open guy for a open shot. Or you can find one of the outside shooters for a jumper, or reset. They really should have kept that Kapono.
Sorry that got long, but that's my take on the Heat anyway.
Oh, and the Blazers winning 10 in a row is crazy! I don't want to imagine how easily those win streaks will come once Oden is back. Do you guys play Aldridge exclusively at the power forward right now, even with Oden out? Pryzbilla is the starting center right? Because having a frontcourt of Oden and Aldridge is gonna be a serious inside-out punch. Aldridge can really knock down the 15-footer like nobody's business.
LaMarcus has been playing the Power Forward position, but they've been using Channing Frye at the Center position as well. Przybilla's been coming off the bench a lot, which is not necessarily a bad thing for the team, or Przybilla. Blazers' second unit to us is nearly as important as the starting five, perhaps even more so at certain positions. Guys who can cut it as starters(also used to be starters): James Jones(our Kapono?), Travis Outlaw, Jarrett Jack, Joel Przybilla. They strategically come off the bench to give us boost, a la (my favorite player)Manu Ginobili. Those "bench" guys has been huge for the Blazers during this winning streak.
Is it me, or does Dallas just not seem to care anymore? I know they're on a 5 game streak, but they're already at 19-9. I know one of the made the comment that they're trying to stay focused on the Playoffs instead of the regular season.
Well, at this rate Dallas, you're going to barely make it into the Playoffs.
And what the hell is up with Boston?! When did this team suddenly become so dominating? 21-3, d*mn.
The off-season trade is what is up with Boston.
Dallas just seems to be "coasting" which is what San Antonio has been doing for a decade. They'll probably be ready for the playoffs. If not count on major changes next year. They've been to the Finals, there is nothing more to accomplish aside from the NBA Title. If they go backwards like last year Cuban and most fans will want changes. Dallas is in sort of a mini situation that Utah was in during the Jordan era--with the championship or the season's a bust. I don't know if it will happen this year. Boston will run away with it barring injury.
While I agree that San Antonio sometimes during the regular season are seen just sleepwalking thru the regular season(Pop must be one frustrated coach

), the obvious difference between Dallas and S.A. is the end result. If what Mac heard is correct, if they actually think that they can focus on the Playoffs with over 50 games left in a regular season, I'd fire or trade the personnel with that type of mindset. It would explain the Mavs performance in last few Playoff appearance, however.
With the talent that team's got, I'd want other teams to be afraid of us. Right now, it's all about Phoenix, San Anotonio and Boston, right off the top of my head. Dallas should be feared enough to be in that category, but they are not. I see something wrong with that picture.
