Hey, I LIKE the White honda without stickers plastered all over it. Just put a red stripe up the nose and leading edge of the wing, put big numbers on it, and it'll look like this...

Come to think of it, I would like to see the return of numbers on the side of the car as well as the nose on all the cars.

With the shorter sidepods this year, there's not much use for mirrors nearly next to the driver. At the same time, the new positioning, along with the winglets directly in front of it, appear to create a better flow, aerodynamically speaking. Looks like the sidepod solution wasn't good for the airflow around the actual sidepod, and caused too much disturbance there.

Germany, the land of drunk drivers?

He is the new Williams Test-driver. Looks like Nico/Naka/Nico is their combo this year, STR's Sebastian/Sebastien style :dopey:

Nakajima is awesome.

Nakajima is awesome.

Things in the commentary box are going to get quite confusing

RTL'll get it right. There's a German Sebastian, and the other one is inexistent to them. There's German superstar Nico, and some Japanese guy. Oh, and they have an uber-awesome German tester also called Nico, but he won't confuse them during a race :P

 Brilliant! 👍

In the UK we have Martin Brundle (an ex F1 driver) and James Allen and they tend to just give the guys nick names or just say the whole name! They do get confused quite a bit! They are also divided on how they should pronounce Kubica! They do a really good job though although Murray Walker is the legend!

Looks like BMW is going for the "We're going to win with an aggressive design" way it seems, just like Williams did in 2004, and we all know how that went...

On the Honda, everything looks wrong. The nose is a typical 2002 BAR design, the sideshot makes the car looks as if the whole rear and engine cover is far too large compared to the front, the Honda is just a fail...

The Renault looks like a big WIN, the Mclaren keeps it at least simple...

Best looking new cars? Toyota and BMW without a doubt 👍

Someone has told their designer that simple is better and that the old way is the better way. Unfortunately for them those good ol' sayings don't work in the F1 anymore.
But the way BMW is doing things doesn't seem to be too effective either. Let's just hope Rampf isn't just talking big when he said they know what the issues are and that they'll have a very competitive car in Melbourne.

Today's Formula 1 is all about curvy, "natural" designs that direct the air in more than one direction - from the front wings shaped to create vortices around the car, to (McLaren's especially) the "molten" sidepods and winglets - F1 doesn't go with straight lines anymore, they're just not efficient enough. Honda appears to have missed this.
