The main reason Button is leading is because Brawn was a step ahead of everyone else at the start of the season, so, no competition. But as the season picked up, everyone else caught up, and now, Brawn's domination days are pretty much over, and now they are struggling.

Red Bull - 64pt (40/24)
Ferrari - 47pt (36/11)
McLaren - 52pt (34/18)
Williams - 23pt (23/0)
Toyota - 22pt (11/11)
Renault - 15pt (15/0)
Sauber - 16pt (9/7)
Force India - 13pt (8/5)
Toro Rosso - 0pt (0/0)

Since Jenson's run of victories ended, Brawn GP have been the second best team on the grid, missing out on first by an average of one quarter of a point per driver. If that's "struggling" I'd hate to see your definition of "cack".

Not quite, he took it out and put it down a little more heavily than you'd expect :lol:

EDIT: this qualifying delay's not all bad - Strictly Come Dancing has been postponed at least!

I don't know about everyone else, but I forsee a very exciting race developing for tomorrow, even more so now that Hamilton and Vettel are at the back.
 
It's getting dark at Interlagos and the weather isn't getting any better. I think they'll end this tomorrow morning.

It's just after 3:30 Pm there, that gives them several hours of daylight left.

So what is the rules if the rest of qualifying is rained out?
Run qualifying tomorrow, Line up by points?
What about the guys out in Q1 are they stuck there or if they can't finish qualifying do they all line up by points?

Apparently they line up based on Q1 times if they can't get started again. That's what the TV commentary team has just said.

Vettel should swap in a new engine and take the grid penalty, start from pit lane.

Agree that would be his best bet to keep his hopes alive. Now I'm glad i didn't wake up early to watch qualy because it seems i would have just wasted my time.

Another lack luster performance from Button in qualifying :lol: Hopefully Barichello can pull something magical out the bag for Q3 :)
 
He should have pitted for Inter's as soon as Rosberg put in a quick lap. Silly mistake.
 
It was mentioned that Sutil was on full wets for his 4th place run in Q2...so the tires probably weren't the main cause for his lack of performance.

And as Peter Windsor mentioned - I think Button's problem is just that he can't handle a "oversteery" car and seems to lack confidence when the car has such characteristics, especially in these conditions. And I find it funny that he's always whining about understeer, yet can't deal with any type of looseness in the rear :rolleyes:

Koboyashi managed to get 11th i really thought he wouldn't get past Q1 for his first time in qualy but ha almost made it into Q3. Must say he is starting to impress me.

And Webber did all his runs on full wets too I believe. Looks like JB just couldn't go quick enough, he looked like he was pushing hard.

That was a long quali :lol: Barrichelo deserves it. Pole has evaded him for a long time

WOW WHAT A SESSION! Oh man, that was such an amazing quali to watch. It had more action than most of the races this year. Fantastic job by Barrichello. Webber, Trulli and Rosberg were also amazing. Tomorrow's race is shaping up to be a very memorable one.
