Alonso was sleeping.

With Button second and Webber third, that means Vettel is world champion... Or is RTL 7 bad at explaining?

Vettel already has a 9 second lead :(

Man that pass was nuts, one little mistake by Webber or if Alonso tried to defend that would have been the euro GP again for Webber.

- Vettel has to be on the Singapore podium to become champion.
- if Alonso is on the podium, Vettel can’t do it.
- if Hamilton wins, Vettel can’t do it.

Vettel is now virtually champion

In detail:

To become champion, Vettel requires one of the following three scenarios:
1. Vettel wins; Alonso 4th or lower; Button/Webber 3rd or lower.
2. Vettel 2nd; Hamilton 3rd or lower; Alonso 8th or lower; Button/Webber 5th or lower.
3. Vettel 3rd; Hamilton 4th or lower; Alonso 9th or lower; Button/Webber 7th or lower.

In reality:

If Vettel isn't out for the rest of the season, he's champion.

Now:

1 - Vettel
2 - Button
3 - Webber
4 - Alonso

------

1 - Vettel
2 - Button
3 - Alonso

Button being in 2nd place keeps Vettel from locking up the championship.

He does? f1.com also puts it very weird, is it Button or Webber who needs to be 3rd?

VETTEL MUST HAVE 1 MORE POINT, WT:censored:

When Alonso was passed by Webber, Button became the 2nd place driver in the championship.

Kobayashi held up Button for an entire lap. Under investigation for ignoring blue flags. It ruined the battle for the lead I was hoping for after the restart.

And I like how the BBC completely ignored the fact Button lost so much time on the restart. It's so frustrating.

Drive through for Kobayashi 👍

Kobayashi gets a drive through for ignoring blue flags.

Edit: Sorry ==

The post you made earlier says he does. 💡

You said Vettel wins if he wins and Button finishes 3rd or lower. Button is 2nd. That is higher than 3rd or lower.

XLStress
Bruno Senna gets a drive through for ignoring blue flags.

I don't know where you got Senna from, it was Kobayashi, Perez and Rosberg incident at turn 1 is being investigated.

Err, they did mention that Button lost 8.something seconds in one lap to Vettel.

It said Button or Webber. But RTL7 says Vettel misses one point.
Damn Nürburgring.

Webber pits and puts on Super Softs.

Err, they did mention that Button lost 8.something seconds in one lap to Vettel.

But they ignored the fact that Kobayashi didn't let him past for a lap, and he accounted for about 4-5 seconds of that time.

Will Webber be able to collect Button? 16 laps left... he's lapping a fraction faster, and he's shown the ability and drive to overtake in odd places with and without DRS earlier... hmmm...

Hamilton back up to fifth. Schumacher's Monza debt repaid in full. That yellow really helped him get back in the mix... whereas Massa is still all the way back out of the points...

It said Button or Webber.
Yes, Button or Webber. Being 2nd, Button is higher than 3rd.

If Button or Webber finish 2nd, then Vettel doesn't win the championship today. Button is 2nd.

Or was, but when Alonso pits Button'll be back to 2nd.

Vettle pitted and put on Super Soft.

Vettle nearly hits a lotus that got released unsafely.

Alonso still has to pit most likely and that will bring Webber back to 3rd.

It would have taken a crazy incident with the front runners to have Vettel win the Championship.

Well, that was a near miss in the pits for Vettel.

Only if Kovalainen went a little further over :sly: lol

Trulli running slowly with a possible damaged front wing.

Lotus is my favorite team too :( lol
