This is awesome, tied points makes it looks so epic. It's a tough choice, but Tony having his own team really makes it special. The only was to nake it more epic, is having like 6 cars all racing to the end.

Congratulations Tony Stewart! Not Kahne or Keselowski, but a good, clean race all the same.

Classy race by Edwards too.

Holy ****. Un-*******-believable. I'm quite disappointed because Edwards clearly had the better year, but when you win five races in the Chase...

The last few races of the Chase turned out pretty much like a movie script. I can't fathom how both of these guys were simultaneously able to outclass the field for multiple weeks in a row.

Glad to see smoke won. He took a risk starting his own team, and it paid off. It also helps that he drives an American car.

Closest championship in history
Wish Edwards would have got it

Yeah, feel kinda bummed as I went with Edwards but Stewart truly earned it. That, and when that caution fell for the rain, I knew it was a sign that luck was on the 14's side.

But I like to think positive. At least it wasn't Jimmie! :dopey:

Congrats to Tony Stewart! :D Great job to Carl! :D Well, next year, you guys will be very interesting to watch. ;) --- Randy

That was an amazing race!!!!

On a similar note, Tony is the first person to win under both the old and Chase formats.👍

If anyone cares about the remainder of the Chase point standings, they look like this:

1. Stewart
2. Edwards -0 (loses tiebreaker (!!!))
3. Harvick -58
4. Kenseth -73
5. Keselowski -84
6. Johnson -99
7. Earnhardt -113
8. Gordon -116
9. Hamlin -119
10. Newman -119 (loses tiebreaker)
11. Kurt Busch -141
12. Kyle Busch -157

I think Harvick, Kenseth, and Keselowski (as well as Earnhardt, perhaps) have to be pleased with their final standing. Johnson is probably shocked to be out of the top five, and the Busch brothers just had really bad Chases and won't be on stage during Champion's Weekend.

That tie is awesome, I know Tony had due to wins, but still, seeing the top two guys at 0 each is so cool.

He also has the most wins during the chase in one year. (5) Although I think he did that at JGR when he missed the chase one year as well.

In the almost 20 years I've watched nascar it is highly rare to watch drivers race like nothing before, these two were monsters. I've never seen drivers run lap after lap faster and faster.

Don't know why but I like seeing the Busch brothers at the bottom of the standings.

I guessed stewart all the way. This was just a rematch of the 2011 MLB world series. Edwards is the Texas Rangers, a consistent, but young team who have come close to winning it all before and have been in front all year, yet have never won the championship before. Stewart is the St. Louis Cardinals, a team who had a rough year, but some how made it to the playoffs at the end of the season. They had a few championships already under their belt, and are more experienced. St. Louis took it in game 7. History has a way of repeating its self, so it was obvious for me to choose Tony Stewart.
