Mark clattenburg is making this game a riot!

I thought that was a good decision there..he clearly went down looking for something..

That was my impression, but the replay seemed to show some contact... big call to make either way, who'd be a ref??

Of course he was looking for it but so was Young.

Gary Lineker ‏@GaryLineker
Another hopeless decision! So obviously a foul on Torres

I never said it was a bad decision, I was just saying how the ref has made this a very interesting game.

If it takes a few decsions like these to stop the diving epidemic, that it's fine with me. No contact, tiniest amount of contact, should never make a adult fall on the floor like they've been shot.

2-3!! Chicharito!!...cant see Chelsea winning this now...

Agreed but at least do it to both sides.

Nice goal. Clattenburg a better player for United than Webb ?

Of course he was looking for it but so was Young.
Ivanovic clearly made contact on the last man, so the ref had no choice but to show a straight red... Young did make a meal of it though, but there was no question that there was contact... Torres went down easily with what might have been no contact at all (although it looked to me like there was some contact) and got a yellow for his trouble... but seeing as how he was already booked, he paid the price for it big time...

This is a disgrace. This referee is terrible. He better hand in his letter of resignation tomorrow to the FA. So biased to United.

Ivanovic probably deserved that one, but there was contact on Torres. And a card on Mikel for what?

On top of all of that, the 3rd goal was offside. Good job, ref. 👍

Both incidents had contact. Neither players were brought down by this contact, but by their own will. 2 red cards for Chelsea, game over and perhaps the start of Chelsea's usual winter disaster.

The law states that both these players should be booked for simulation, but this doesn't happen for whatever reason.

Don't be too sad, you're still top of the league. Not for long though! ;) Don't forget, capital one cup on wednesday, same fixture. Maybe you'll get payback?

United always play youngsters in the "league" cup. Rename it as many times as you want.

Hope that steward is ok.

What actually happened to the steward?

Great result in London... :sly:

Lots of wrong decisions from the referees though.

Fantastic result! That last ten minutes had my heart going at over 150 bpm

What happened to the steward that was surrounded be paramedics by the way? I hope he's OK.

Was a great result:tup:

But i think it was a bit tainted with those ref decisions..

News coming from old Trafford is that Howard Webb is now fearing for his place after a man of the match performance from mark clattenburgh

That wasn't even funny. 👎

Webb is alone!

What terrible refereeing :grumpy:

Those decisions cost us 3 points alone, from the end of the first half and part of the second before the poor decisions united were camped in there own half, there was probably only going to be one outcome if we kept all 11 on the pitch. I would even go as far to say we could of won that game with ten men.

At least we are still top of the league I suppose, not to mention we have 3 difficult fixtures out of the way. Beating Tottenham and Arsenal away are big results and may show it come the end of the season.

Gary Chuckle is getting himself bang at it on the review. Even though he talks sense at times, I just can't take him seriously.

This. Don't go looking for fouls if you're already in the book.

The yellow card is a deterrent, not a signal of encouragement. Torres made too much out of minimal contact. However Chelsea have every right to fee aggrieved about United's offside winner.

A thrilling encounter.
