Im sure thats legit, but what website is it from? I want a bigger picture of it.

It worked.
I really wish I had access to Speed2, that way I could actually watch DTM when it actually happens.

This is technically the first BMW livery. This one was unveiled at the season ending round in Hockenheim lasy year when they did Demo laps of all three next gen DTM cars with Dirk Werner at the wheel of this one. This seems like schnitzer bound.

See the very first post in this thread to see the Hockenheim Demo lap pictures.

If you know any German hehehe. This is what i have been using to watch all of the round LIVE! this website gets permission to stream the DTM races. They are only streamed. you cant find any replays here. Youll have to buy those.

If you can stand the odd hours you can catch DTM live all year here :http://www.sportschau.de/sp/dtm/

The link to live streaming appears on race day. Theres nothing there now.

oops double post sorry.

Yeah, technically this is the same but they re-unveil it again with new sponsors like Puma, Aligeter and ZE removed. I'm not sure if there's a BMW M stripe anymore on the bonnet and roof because I noticed the big number sticker is now somewhere on the middle of the bonnet unlike the one they ran in Hockenheim which is far more to the left...

EDIT: Also if I'm not mistaken, they've repositioned the exhaust on the side instead of the back like the car they ran in Hockenheim. Not rear picture so far though...

EDIT 2: The aero parts on the side below the door has also been changed. I also just noticed the rear bumper has had a slight change on the side by the looks. The top now curves upwards instead of slopping down. The tail lights are in red instead of white. I really want to see this car in real life!

Yeah. DTM has become alot more interesting with the entrance of BMW. Much like the Super GT500 class. There are many parallels. The big 3 japanese makes in SGT. The Big 3 German makes in DTM. If only they would go ahead and merge...Keep both continents involved in the track list. Or simply just add GT500 cars to DTM's roster and vice versa. Probably many performance balancing issue to sort but hey.

Until they start fielding Opel Corsa racecars, I'm not watching.

BMW teams:
RMG: Tomczyk / Hand
RBM: Priaulx / Farfus
Schnitzer: Spengler / Werner

It looks like they've put their 2 slower drivers with the DTM veterans to get them up to speed this year, could cost them in the teams championship (not that it matters much since people just look at which make won the drivers).

btw I can't wait to see some other cars, the A5 will be nice Red Bull'd.

Just re-discovered

ExPostbrief will probably stay with Tomczyk = yellow M3
Crowne Plaza I'm guessing will be with Priaulx = white M3

Whooow.. The driver pairing with the teams are way off than what I was expected!

Owkey, now the livery thing is still in talk. When will the Audi and Mercedes drivers and liveries be unveiled?

EDIT: This is not all that much interesting but here's this year's Safety Car that they will use.

I dont really understand what they are doing with the M3....There kind of caught out because they dont want to reveal the bodystyle of the next M3 or M4(whatever they are going to call the E92 M3 succesor...

The car has next gen 3 series headlights. Yet everything else about the car is E92 like.

While I'm not seeing it as a problem, perhaps that's just for some sort of marketing/styling? I don't know, but it makes the car look meaner!

Remember, that headlights aren't only being used by the next generation 3-Series. In fact, it was from the BMW M1 Hommage Concept car so I don't really see the problem for it to be fitted into this E92...

I just noticed it because when they did the run around in Munich at the end of last season they had the rounded headlights of the E92...That car still has them in fact. they have two diff versions at Estoril. The postbrief with squared and the corporate colors with rounded

I think it's up to the team or driver to put anything different to their cars but I am not entirely sure. While it's difficult to see, the Castrol car seems to have a squared headlights similar to Postbrief's.

But it's just a headlights anyway mate...

lol. What i was really getting at was when they would switch to the new M3 bodywork. I dont think they are allowed to do that this year and they may not be able to do it next year either. Im not clear on the regulations.

My prediction would be 2014 because the new M3 will be launched and be available in the market somewhere in 2013/2014. Unless they're dropping the M3 and go for the 3/4 Series Coupe which I think is not going to happen...

EDIT: But yes, I'm not on the clear side of the regulations either. But I think they may stay with the E92 for as long as they can.

This. The current M3 will be current for another 2 years. They are simply basing it on the current model. The headlamps being different doesn't mean anything, the car is not based on the production model anyway.

So this is Andy Priaulx's Crowne Plaza M3.

The latest BMW Bank M3 DTM. I think it's one of Reinhold's but no idea who will be driving it.

EDIT: Just discovered that the BMW Bank M3 will be driven by Bruno Spengler and it's Schnitzer's car.

The DTM cars start to look ridiculously aerodynamic. Super GT anyone? They look absolutely fantastic, though! Still, for me nothing beats the looks of the C-class DTM cars of the current gen C-class.

You mean Dallara have spent the last two years developing the car?

It is a Spec series you know. The only bit BMW do is the bodywork.

Even the engine is a Judd with a BMW badge on it and exactly the same engine with an Audi badge sits in the Dallara with an Audi body on it.

The link up between DTM and GT500 is still on the cards.

Out of curiosity do you have a source for this, I've been trying to find out specifics of the DTM regs for ages, DTM never talk about, obviously the manufacturers don't, and I just checked to see if Dallara or Judd had anything on their websites, and they don't.
