A left back whos defensive displays are inconsistent when put under pressure, you cant have that, no matter the formation nor the system. About fabregas then, hes not actually used as a midfielder, more of an forward really. Every time hes being put between the link of attack and midfield hes performances are really shabby.

..and Udinese have said that an un-named Premier League club have made an £8 million bid for Matej Vydra, who had a successful loan spell at Watford last season...

I hope the tiger stripe of football kits make a new comeback for a Hull City someday.

Seriously need more footy fans here, at times it feels so empty or maybe it just summer and everyone is having a great time including me.

So Newcastle confirmed that Joe Kinnear is the new Director of Football at the club, if his stint as manager a few years ago was anything to go by then it'll be explosive! :lol:

There are enough fans here, there just isn't that much to talk about.

He has already been getting the players' names wrong again and said he was smarter than all the fans, which does not seem a very smart thing to say.:lol:

I think bringing him in is an attempt to make Pardew quit since they won't want to sack him because he has like seven years left on his contract and it'll cost them way too much.

I just don't really see the point in talking about the myriad of rumors that the press come up with. When things happen, there's more activity, but even then, you can only talk about a transfer so much without seeing the person play at the new club. Speculation and rumormongering get old pretty quick.

I don't really see why they'd want to sack him to be honest. Sure, their domestic campaign was pretty lackluster this year, but to be fair they had some incredibly unlucky injuries. Losing their best striker in January really didn't help either, especially when the man they wanted to replace him decided to take the money at Loftus Road instead. Add to that the fact that they made a good showing of themselves in the Europa league, and I think that an underwhelming league campaign can be written off as a bad year. Certainly, he'll be under the gun this year (and should be) but sacking him before he even gets a chance to turn it around would be harsh.
Of course, this is England we're talking about. Sacking managers is sort of their thing lately.


On a different note, and to give us something to talk about, here's a fun game I thought up at work the other night:
Make a squad of 11 players (any formation) that you think could be competitive in the UEFA Champions League. You can not use any player who currently plays for a club that was in the group stages of the 2012/2013 UCL or who now plays for a club that will be in the group stages of the 2013/2014 UCL (If they're in the playoff stages, they're fair game).
Additionally, the following 5 players are banned: Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez, Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani, and Stevan Jovetic.

Anyone wanna give it a go?

Yeah, that was a good match. Also, it's worth noting that the 2 goals Italy scored were the only 2 De Gea has conceded for the U21's since November 2011.

David Moyes really get's a rough start at his United career. After the opening game at Swansea, it's Chelsea at Old Trafford on matchday 2, Liverpool at Anfield on matchday 3, Crystal Palace at Old Trafford matchday 4 and then City at Etihad on matchday 5.

Crystal Palace, should hopefully be an easy start. Arsenal away on deadline day and Chelsea at home on September 28th.
 
Moyes has a very tough start, 4 out of the first 5 can be considered difficult no disrespect to Palace of course.
 
By that logic every other manager has it tough, there is no easy games in the Premier League.
 
Not all of those games are 3pm kickoffs!

Sky and BT will get their hands on the fixtures and in a few weeks will announce what games they will show for the first 3 months...

Yeah I figured. Because well at the schedule I saw, every match was listed at 16:00 (my time), but I understand that it's just temporary. ;)
 
I think its almost certain that Swansea-United will be shown though, because its the champions starting their defence...Chelsea-Hull be probably be another because it Mourinhos first game back...
 
Maybe Southampton and West Brom as it's the only real interesting game, the rest look pretty boring.
 
It does look fairly average!

Also, Man Utd have a tough start, in the first 6 they play Chelsea and Liverpool back-to-back and then City two weeks later!
 
As well as the fixtures being announced, the FA cup final has been moved so it's not going to be played until after the league season has finished.
 
That's a no-brainer for me, it should be like that every year!

Yep, I don't think you'll find anyone against this.:) If only UEFA would allow the winner entry to the Champions League, the FA cup would be taken far more seriously then.
 
United looking to sign T.Alcantara, according to twitter journalists. Nevertheless knowing Moyes then he will probably make him another DL trequartista. wat a joke.
