No but I'm more going on Alonso and Ferrari's current pace, which is very good. The fact they won it in the past just shows that generally the Ferrari is also strong at this track.

Oh and we've only had one race since 2010 but I'm sure you know that.

You need quite a bit of traction here, Ferrari lack in that area, they are more fast in high speed tracks.

I know that there wasn't a race 2 years ago but no we have the pirelis everything have changed.

I didn't even know it existed, to be honest. I don't know how you could really make computing power and data storage a restriction with any sort of boundary. Considering the breakthroughs made computing development on a nearly constant basis, (never mind determining what is Racing Team Data versus Personal Data by the FIA is a scary thought) there's no way it could be capped.

What's next? A spec-computer for all teams? No overclocking nor cloud storage!

I like Anthony on commentary. He knows about the modern technology and what something like that does in a car. Sometimes he's raced on the track too.

Of course but without Brundle the current BBC commentators are all over the place at times. Whenever Coulthard slipped up in the past Brundle was there to correct him, now you have 3 commentators that just seem to confuse each other.

Following similar pattern of last races as you would expect. It will be interesting to see tomorrow if Mercedes can get pole, they seem to be doing very good first sectors with most likely a lot of fuel in the car compared to other teams. Hopefully they don't go in a wrong setup direction as I think they need to nail it to compete in race. Rubber filling their front wing seems a worry too for the race.

Looks like a list that is slightly combined.

I preferred the Brundle Coulthard combo, the banter was really funny at times. Plus Edwards can get pretty excitable, too much so on occasions. Plus he can be pretty dim witted. It could be worse I suppose.

Hamilton's talking about how their setups on Friday were causing bad deg compared to everyone else, not looking good for Mercedes this weekend. They're going to try a different approach, hopefully they can sort it out, 'cause they definitely have the pace, but it's no good if you're overly stressing the tires as a result. Seems as though they're having the same trouble RBR had in China. This track doesn't wear the fronts faster than the rears though, so there goes their advantage.

If things don't come together for them on Saturday might we see them opting out of running a Q3 time?

For sure. The tires are harder this time around though, so it's not so much the same. Since the Options won't be wearing away so fast, it shouldn't be much trouble.

Although Lewis did set the fastest time on Hards, so he could theoretically make up a lot of time on the leaders starting on Mediums if he stays out of trouble in the first stint.

I think that's the strength of the Pirelli tyres: once the teams figure out how they work - and they do figure it out, despite all their complaints - the tyres allow them to use a strategy that suits them best. In the past, everyone has simply adopted the one strategy because it was the only strategy. Now the teams have the freedom to work out something that plays to their strengths.

I like Mark Webber's comments on Sky F1, quite bluntly put about state of racing in current F1.

It is disappointing that Lewis has to start 5 places back due to tyre which is probably not fit for purpose really. Delamination trend continues, way too easy to occur in my opinion.
