Think it was because he didn't run on softs or primes.

Mercedes have had issues with tyre management, which was supposedly sorted during the secret tyre test.

Tyre management, so he held Vettel for what 10 laps? What the hell were the others doing? Racing on the wrong track?!

If Grosjean hadn't held him up so much, he would have gotten Vettel.

Lewis overtaking Jenson at the chicane, good job.

Are you watching the right race? Vettel went 1st in turn one. He wasn't held for a corner never mind a lap, or 10.

What the hell are you on about?

Great race from Vettel, Räikkönen and Grosjean.

We shall see the "happy face" Kimi again...

And glad for Vettel winning home race. Kudos!

And not a single tyre exploded on this day.

WHAT?! OH FFS!
No, I haven't been watching the race. I came home, turned on and went WTF?

I have a feeling Ferrari and Lotus will be pushing to keep these tyres because they both looked much better across the weekend.

For all Vettel haters... in your Face!

Get over it, for real.

Nice run for Webber back to 7th.

And not a single tyre exploded on this day.

Charles Pic had a slow puncture at some point in the race. Still better than exploding tires.

Didn't you guise hear Pirelli had to appease the tire gods and feed them a little Italian boy.

Only then would the tires not explode, good move Pirelli, good move.

Then how can you be making judgements on the race. All you saw was the results, or maybe last few laps.

Well, you certainly made yourself look stupid.

Thanks for that thoughtful post.

Just to let you know, that's part of the reason people start crap about Vettel. You could have done without that.

Anyways, Vettel ran a great race. Set his mind to winning it and thus won it. Great job, and I wish he'd wear that Helmet all the time.

Nice run for Webber back to 7th.

Like I said earlier in the thread often the Red Bulls are the only car capable of having a really bad race but still picking up good points.

Yup, shame that, would have been nice to see Kimi win.

Also, if Rosberg hadn't held Lewis up, he probably wouldn't have been caught out by the safety car and may have finished in front of Alonso.

But oh well :/

The first race in a while that Vettel had to work to get the win. Kimi was a lap short on getting him.

Credit where it's due, Vettel was never able to just cruise around like he normally does. He actually had to work for that one.

DOTD has to go to Webber though. We've seen back-to-points runs from him in previous races, but a run like that in less than half a race is pretty impressive.

That was a strange looking Red Bull that Lewis was driving last week.
