I predicted 4-1 before the game, not much time left but hoping for two more goals.

Even though I hate the new money clubs (though not quite as much as Man U ;)), I always thought Jose was great entertainment in his 1st stint as manager. But over time he's become a caricature of himself. Now he's either irritating or just laughable.

It looks like Man U won't be getting Ramos because he's just signed a new 5 year contract, De Gea has been offered a £12 million signing on fee by Real Madrid to see out the final year of his contract.
 
Liverpool v Bournemouth tonight, big night for Bournemouth, also on tonight is the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup with Bilbao having a shocking 4-0 lead over Barcelona...

....so last night something rather funny happened to me, it was last Monday night during the WBA-City game, just after City scored their third and looked comfortable all the City fans were going bonkers and I tweeted 'Calm down City fans its only West Brom and you've got Chelsea next', oh how that tweet backfired on me last night! :lol:, just after nine last night my phone wouldn't stop going off with all the retweets and favourites from mostly City fans, I did get a bit of abuse but it was mostly light-hearted, it couldn't stop laughing! :lol::lol:

Great decision IMO... Benteke and Henderson in my FF team, Benteke as captain... saved me from an embarrassing sub 20 point week :lol:

Unlucky Bournemouth, cant fault their effort last night but they found out that this can be a very unforgiving league, they need to get points on the board quick though...

I can't help but notice a very slight element of bias.:p

Anyway, I had always thought that the offside rule included players trying to get the ball anyway so I'm surprised it wasn't until this season. It's unfortunate for Bournemouth but hopefully there won't be too much more incidents like this, I do agree with what they're trying to do with the rule.
 
In all honesty, it was clearly off-side.

But them's the breaks... they tend to even out over a season.

It's 15 million pounds, 10 short of WBA's valuation. Spurs apparently made it to tell Albion that they're buying him eventually. This one will probably end up as 20 million pounds plus addons.
 
£20 million sounds about right for him..
 
Eh, I'm not convinced. He's not exactly lethal and he seems to have an attitude problem, which is why Pocchetino exiled 3 players last year. I'd rather Spurs tried buying Austin, Remy or Hernandez tbh.
 
They definitely need a striker badly, I know they signed that young French lad but he seems to be back up to Kane and whoever else they sign to play up front.

Shouldn't Spurs be focusing on their defence? They conceded as many goals as Burnley last season (53) and you have to go all the way down to Leicester in 14th to find a team that conceded more.

They have, that's why Alderweireld is there now, and why Dier is in midfield and Dembele is playing.

The main reason last year why they conceded so many last year is because the defence had so little protection. Bentaleb and Mason were both CAM's before making it to the first team at Spurs and don't really properly defend, and when Fazio is as quick as Mertesacker there is no stopping the opposition. That and Chiriches was having a David Luiz-like season last year and managed to 🤬 up anytime he was called upon.

Dier may or may not be a stop gap solution but you can see why Sven Bender was really making Spurs fans excited when linked earlier this month.

But in reality, a striker is needed as back up. N'jie is fairly unknown and Chadli doesn't seem to be naturally good there.

So we've ummed and arred about the price with barcelona for no good reason and now we've missed out on him for Chelsea. Good one Woodward. Pedro is well worth 21 million. We pay 60 for ADM but not a third for Pedro. Ridiculous is all I have to say.
 
I was stunned when I heard earlier, he would be one of the bargains of the season at that price and now we are apparently in for Muller for £60 million??, first Otamendi and now this....what's going on?!
 
I kinda hoped Mane would go to Spurs, but I guess interest from United would just drive up the price to ridiculous levels.

Also, there is a real chance City and Chelsea will end up more untouchable this year.
 
At first I was like 'Mane to United?? you having a laugh right, he is not good enough for us' but now I have had time to think about it I actually think it could be a good move, he is a good player and is a proper winger and still only 23 so he has time to improve, would be a good signing....a bit of a comedown from Pedro but still..
