I wonder if Leicester can keep their good form going. Home to Tottenham could be tricky.
 
Y'know when we all make our predictions at the start of the season? well can we change them or do we have to stick with them?, because I've got doubts about my prediction that Man United will be fighting for the title after all the transfer stuff this week...

Yeah, I just feel that with those two not joining and City and Chelsea both strengthening that unless we do some good business in the final two weeks of the window then we will be fighting for fourth and not for the title..

Otamendi was one of the best defenders in the BBVA last season so you have a point there but Pedro is likely to be replacing Cuadrado..... on the bench.

Crazy if it is true but clever by Wolfsburg if you think about it as they are trying to milk every penny out of City as its a matter of time that they are going lose De Bruyne.

Knew this guy had something up his sleeve, even in the pre-season friendlies. What. A. Goal.

Shame we drew, though. Would've preferred a 6-0 win like two seasons ago, but hey. A point's a point.

Also, it didn't take long for things to straighten out for Bournemouth. Last week they should have had at least a point, now they've got an amazing win against West Ham. Finished 4-3 with a Callum Wilson hat trick.

Just a pity he hasn't been able to slap the side of a Supertram with a fresh wet halibut in the first few games. He missed sitters against Bristol and Reading.

I will admit, it isn't great when your main goal scorer/creative player misses stuff like that because I can't see where else the goals are coming from. We've already learned that Big Dave (or any of our strikers, really) can't be relied upon.

I'm hoping this goal will give him more confidence (not that he needs much more, considering all of his fancy flicks) and he'll start banging them in on a weekly basis (or at least fortnightly).
 
Looking forward to seeing West Ham vs Bournemouth on MOTD tonight.

More disappointed with the United draw than the Swansea one, we definitely need something upfront, if only just to spark something in to Rooney and give him a lift, Swansea play Man United next Sunday...

Pedro is running the show against West Brom so far with a goal and an assist for Costa as Chelsea lead 1-3 at the break, no Berahino in the WBA squad...

Well done to Bournemouth on getting their first PL win in a cracking game yesterday.

Who'd have thought Leicester would be top and Mahrez be top scorer in the league at the start of the season?!
 
Chelsea have been pretty shocking this year so far. Hope it turns around for us.
 
5,277 this game. Last two home games were 4,800. We took 1,031 away to Kidderminster. This is an unbelievable level of support for a region like North Wales and a division like the Conference. Fifth tier.

Wrexham are simply too big for the Conference. That crowd is over 10x bigger than what my local team got last Saturday (who are in the sixth tier, but were recently relegated from the Conference).

I'd say they're in the same bracket as Grimsby, Tranmere and a few others as clubs who, based on support and past club stature, could easily be in L2, maybe even L1.
 
Ah, plenty of our fans and fans of those clubs with 'calibre' you mentioned love to talk about being a big club. Well, this is our eigth season in the Conference. We were relegated in 2007/08 with:

- Not the absolute fewest amount of wins (Joint-held with not relegated Notts County, 10)
- Not the fewest draws (Not relegated Accrington Stanley had 3, Wrexham 10)
- Not the most defeats (Not relegated Accrington Stanley had 27, Wrexham 26)
- Not the fewest goals scored (Not relegated Notts County scored 37, Wrexham 38)
- Not the most goals conceded (Not relegated Lincoln City shipped in 77, Wrexham 70)
- Not the worst goal difference (Not relegated Accrington Stanley had -34, Wrexham -32)

Fine margins. But you know what we did finish with the fewest? Points. Rock bottom. When all balls have been kicked the league table never lies.

Good start to this season (3rd: 12pts +6 GD LWWWW with 10 goals in 4 wins). Hopefully we'll be challenging again this year after two years of Conference mediocrity. We've got the manager I've wanted us to have ever since we dropped into the non-league; Gary Mills, of former Nottingham Forest and youngest ever European Cup winner fame. Already got York back into the League and we're playing the same brand of attacking, positive football.
 
Big game tonight then, difficult to predict as I think both teams seem evenly matched on paper..
 
Pretty upset about that, an utter crap first half (what was that?) much better in the second but didn't score, our average start to the league resumes.

Kudos to Petr Cech though.
 
One of the best 0-0's I've ever seen, how there wasn't a goal or two I don't know!
