Tonight's game was evidence that Arsenal still aren't good enough to challenge for the league.

They need another CB, CM and maybe a Centre Forward aswell.


Also, I've absolutely no idea what to make of WBA rejecting Berahino's transfer request, or why they made it public. I still reckon he'll be a Spurs player by the end of the window though.
 
WBA have just rejected an improved bid for Berahino from Spurs though to be £22 million, credit goes to West Brom for not giving to this....yet!

Juan Cuadrado joins Juventus on season long loan and De Bruyne has spoken to Bayern Munich about a move at the end of the season.
 
I'd like to see Neymar come to the Prem, I've heard Man U have offered somewhere in the region of a quarter of a billion pounds for him but I find that hard to believe.

Second round of the League cup is tonight with Luton v Stoke on Sky and twenty games in total, there will be a minutes silence before all games for the two young footballers who died in the Shoreham air-show tragedy...

The quarter of a billion quoted in the media includes wages for some reason.

The stupid part for me is wanting to see him in the premier league. He dives and moans way too much to be anyway likeable.
 
I don't want Neymar at Man Utd. He'll dive, get a bad reputation with the refs. Strop. Lose form and then we'll sell him on after he flops in the premiership. You have to be a strong player to play in the premiership a player that hits the deck from a brush like Neymar or Di Maria will never succeed unless they stop the diving.

A second report says this bid was 18 rising to 21, and that Spurs plan on offering 23 plus addons again. Way too much. Should try instead for Austin and Yarmalenko.

Interesting Spurs rumours include Lamela to Inter Milan and a possible signing of Alexandre Pato.

I'd actually like the Pato signing, but I couldn't see it happening.
 
Balotelli has gone back to AC Milan, on a loan.

There are some peculiar demands in his contract.

Everton should be snapping Chelsea's hand off over Stones, they've reportedly turned down bids well into the 30s. He's clearly a talented young player but they could do so much with the offers they've received.

Yup, though I think both Everton and WBA are playing hard ball because the players are vital for both Chelsea and Spurs, and they're both homegrown.
 
Heung Min Son is closing in on a move to Spurs for £23 million. I just praying that he doesn't move as he is a young talented player which still needs development.

Greed basically and I think they actually believe they can keep their good players and move up in the table and constantly achieve European football.

Also they are English so their price is inflated even more. The home grown player rules and the catchment areas only help to drive these prices to even more ridiculous heights.

The key to constantly achieving European football is having good squad depth rather than just keeping a few good players. Everton is not a club which can shell out the same amount of money as the other clubs like Spurs, Liverpool and Southampton. They should sell Stones for the £30 million because I don't think they can get more for Stones as Otamendi was sold for £32 million who is at his peak. And Everton should use that money to bring in more good players.

Did I say Spurs don't help develop young players? No.

Heung Min Son was previously at Hamburg where showed potential to be one of the best wingers in the Bundesliga scoring 20+ goals with a weak team who may have been relegated. When he came to Bayer he did great for his first season but his performance died down last season and I think he should of stayed at Bayer for another season to get the best out of him. As we know with Spurs signing players who have had one good season such as Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue, Chiriches. And maybe Lamela with Son coming in.

The only problem for me with that is that a premium is being placed on English/home grown players at the moment and while stones is still at Everton they will do all they can to get a massive price for him just like Liverpool did with the sterling saga? (Its all potential they are buying.)
IMO I Still think he,ll probably become a Chelsea player before too long but how much Chelsea stump up is unknown and its a question of much they want him for that to happen.
(Take the gamble now or maybe lose him altogether when another club comes in?)

I heard about 2 weeks ago 10 million being quoted. I'd be happy with that to be honest.
 
Arsenal have been so quite in the transfer market, in my opinion they need a Striker & CDM. Many spectulation that Cavani & Krychowiak are close to a move as transfer deadline day nears.
 
Mitrovic is making Pastor Maldonado seem tame and boring at the moment.
