Well they have Keylor Navas now, they'll probably settle for him.

EDIT: Hang on, it looks like De Gea is staying at Man U. Guillem Balague has said that the documents didn't arrive on time, the deadline for Spanish signings was 11pm.

I don't know what to make of what's been going on at United today, I really don't, I was hoping we would get some good news after yesterday's Omni-shambles but if anything today has made even more fearful....

Jonathan Walters has put in a transfer request at Stoke, nothing to do with money apparently, he wants a two year deal and they are only offering him one, they rejected two bids from Norwich for him last week..

Don't forget the window shut here at 6pm Tomorrow....

Edit, I'm also getting the De Gea dealing falling through due to paperwork not sent in time thing, its on Sky Sports News now and all over my twitter feed..

Man Utd uploaded their documents into FIFA transfer matching system in time. But on Madrids half they failed to do their side of the paperwork in time with the LFP.
 
Apparently Navas sent his documents at 11:01 but is blaming a computer glitch. This deal has been on the table for weeks and weeks then he submits it 1 minute to late?:lol:

West Ham have been the busiest so far, Moses and Song on loan and they have signed Jelavic from Hull on a two year deal..

Joleon Lescott having medical at Aston Villa.

Nathan Dyer joins Leicester on loan from Swansea.

Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk expected to join Southampton for £11.5 million.

Everton sign River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori for £9.5 million.

Glenn Murray joins Bournemouth from Palace for £4million.

Anthony Martial completes Man United medical.

Madrid and Man United both blaming each over the De Gea debacle, FIFA say they have not received any paperwork from Madrid and Madrid wont appeal, so that's that then by the looks of it..

Tottenham have had a third bid rejected for Berahino.

Chelsea have had two bids rejected for PSG defender Marquinhos.

Everton reject a bid from Norwich for Steven Naismith.

West Ham sign Michail Antonio from Notts Forest making it four players they have brought in today!.

Edit, Spurs have now had a fourth bid rejected for Berahino!

Edit, more breaking news, the Martial deal has been done, he'll most likely wear the vacant number 9 shirt..

So Berahino has said he wont play for West Brom again after they rejected all those bids from Spurs for him, he tweeted earlier 'Sad how I cant say exactly how the club has treated me but I can officially say I wont play fro Jeremy Peace again'...

Everton have signed Aaron Lennon from Spurs for around £4 million.

Contender for worst signing in the Serie A by Roma last season and has a horrible goal scoring record. Good signing. 👍
 
Watford will be the favourites if the FA decide to play the PL on FIFA.

I was thinking this. Kept up to date with deadline day at work by keeping the BBC page open. I'd day 70% of the posts were either stupid tweets saying "my son completed a free transfer from primary to secondary school" or "well on FM career he was alright but over the course of 6 seasons he only averaged around 6.5". I'd love to play FM 2012 and watch Pogba go from being worth 250k to 75 million because FM is very realistic in the sense of predicting the future.

Notice how they never actually say it's the Football Manager database, there's a reason for that, they know they'll lose all credibility if they say that. As much as the Football Manager database is quite good, it's not a good idea for a news source to start quoting it as fact when there's always going to be errors in it, after all it's compiled by fans who might just be a little biased towards some players and could easily overate or underrate any given player.
 
I would be delighted if he were to sign a new deal here, but I know its unlikely..

Edit, De Gea has just been named in our Champions League squad..

I too would love it if he signed like a 3 year deal. Would be over the moon in fact. Either that would mean 3+ years of a world class keeper or Madrid actually have to pay what he is worth.
 
De Gea has been named in Man Utd's UCL squad.

A little bit of news though, Chelsea's new signing Djibodji hasn't been named in their UCL squad, which raises questions as to why they bought him!

Also Harry Redknapp has ripped into Liverpool saying they have go their side in years, miss big characters,are lucky to have a point in the league and are badly balanced...

Valdes is surprisingly included in United's Premier League squad after he was left out of the Champions League squad, Berahino is in the West Brom squad..
 
Berahino reported for training today without any issues, he was given the rest of last week off after his now infamous twitter outburst on Tuesday once the window shut, I fully expect him to play for West Brom again soon..

And we have our first casualty of the season proper. Having signed a three year deal to replace Darren Ferguson in May, Peterborough have won just one of their opening six games and the axe has been wielded.

He appeared on Football League Tonight on Saturday following their defeat to Southend and was bigging up their chances against Oldham this weekend. He was sacked the following day. How about that.
