You say there have been 11 managerial changes this season but has there?, a lot of those changes happened at the end of last season and pre-season, there have been two changes this season to me...

All of these changes have occurred after last year's regulation season is over. Off season and pre-season still counts as this season. If you look at the list of managers between Football League Game 46 at the end of last season and now, 11 managerial changes have occurred.

My interest was piqued by the article I posted in the OP saying that sackings are at a thirteen year all-time high. Just wanted to track how many changes we get through this season.

Longest serving Premier League manager is Arsene Wenger of Arsenal at 18 years 11 months (appointed October 1996).
Longest serving Championship manager is Karl Robinson of Milton Keynes Dons at 5 years 4 months (appointed May 2010)
Longest serving League One manager is Dean Smith of Walsall at 4 years 8 months (appointed January 2011)
Longest serving League Two manager is Paul Tisdale of Exeter City at 9 years 3 months (appointed June 2006)

Longest serving Conference manager is Neil Aspin of Halifax Town at 6 years 5 months (appointed April 2009)

Under some quietly introduced rules for this season, we could get our first player to be banned for feigning injury.

Welling United's Sahr Kabba is being charged for "allegedly exaggerating or feigning an injury which directly led to an opponent being dismissed" after Ritchie Sutton was red carded in Saturday's 1-1 Conference draw. Sutton appealed the decision and was successful, leading to this charge against Kabba.

Make it a ban for diving as well and football might be able to clean up its act.
 
I don't understand this quote "allegedly exaggerating or feigning an injury which directly led to an opponent being dismissed", surely a player would be dismissed due to the nature of the foul and not the damage done. Also when does anticipating a foul and trying to avoid it become a dive?

A dive would have to be clear-cut imo like those you've posted, I wouldn't want to see bans being thrown around when a player has simply tried to avoid picking up an injury.
 
Some of those dives are really bad haha. Notice how Suarez is in two of those? lol

A bad dive is obvious to the ref though. Some of those dives in a crowd of players would be impossible for a ref to accurately call. That's where a TMO is needed.

Also, that second Suarez one... :lol:
 
So we are back on after the International break, here are the games for Game-week five...

Saturday

West Ham v Newcastle (8.00 Sky)

Two big games this weekend, United v Pool is obvious but Everton-Chelsea too considering what happened last time those two met at Goodison Park (Chelsea won 6-3), also there a couple of big games in Europe too, there's Barcelona v Atletico Madrid and the Milan Derby between Inter and AC, I think this is the first proper big weekend of Football so far this season.

Delighted with the De Gea news, I know Real Madrid will get him sooner or later but at least now we'll get some money for him and I'm happy they got it done so quickly and that our player of the year from the last two years has re-signed for another four years.:)👍
 
So happy with the De Gea news. I am 100% certain that if he'd not signed by Christmas he'd be a real Madrid player next august.

Chelsea are having an awful start to the season. 4 points from 5 games. Well done to Everton though.

The floodgates have opened. League One is not a good league to be an under pressure manager in right now.

12th September - Darren Kelly (Oldham Athletic, sacked) League One
 
Delighted with the United result, we were the better team, Blind's goal from the free kick was brilliant and what a debut goal from Martial!, Benteke's strike was sublime too has to be said, not so happy with the Swansea result, Watford went down to 10 but we created nothing once that happened and deserved to lose.

Adebayor has been released by Tottenham, who are at Sunderland right now..
 
First 4 games Spurs were the better team each time, didn't win.

Spurs are poor against Sunderland, win.

If I was a betting man, either Gary Bowyer (Blackburn) or Terry Butcher (Newport) will be the next manager to be given a P45 and a kick up the Aris.

I like Leicester being 2nd. I really like Chelsea being 16th.
 
I'll really like it if newcastle beat West Ham tonight and they out Chelsea in the relegation zone.
 
Was about to say the same thing! ^, if Newcastle beat West Ham tonight then they will move above Chelsea and Chelsea will be in the relegation zone, never thought I'd be typing that this season! :lol:

Anyway this start by Chelsea is their worst since 1986, the second worst by the reigning PL Champions and no team has ever finished in the top three after picking up four points in the first four games..

Nope, I used watch it when it followed MOTD, but now, when I have to find Channel 5 on my Irish Sky box, no thank you.
 
The sky sports website has free highlights shortly after the games for all 3 of the lower divisions.
I haven't watched Football League Tonight but I've heard it's pretty poor.

Gave up on it after the first show, It looks awful. Find my highlights elsewhere. Goals on Sunday sky 1? (Plus a bit of Kammy never go,s a miss. :D)
 
I've just watched a Serie A highlights show for the first time since they used to be shown on Bravo TV, my god has the quality gone down. :(

Quality went down a long time ago. Its starting to recover as more investments are coming in.
