I remember a few seasons ago that the owner of Leicester City, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha (thanks, Wikipedia), said that they wanted to be in the top five within five years. I initially dismissed that as over ambitious claptrap, but damn. It almost seems that the Foxes may be the real deal.

I'm not going too crazy yet, though. This Christmas period is going to test them with Everton (A), Liverpool (A) and Man City (H). If they get points from those games, then I guess I'm going to run out of things to say about Leicester without sounding repetitive.

This also gives me hope about Wednesday because it seems that Thai owners are the way to go. Unless you're Cardiff of course, but then again Mr. Tan has been very quiet as of late.
 
Don't think there are any games in midweek, no Champions League and Capital One Cup is back next week, but next weekend could be a big one, there's Arsenal-Man City on the MNF and four of the bottom six play each other, Newcastle-Villa and Chelsea-Sunderland, could be all change in the league.....and Chelsea in the relegation zone!!!
 
I'm on board of the Leicester bandwagon. Chelsea are out, Man Utd is fading away, Arsenal is going to choke as usual.

Realistically the only team that might challenge them is Man City. Assuming Leicester continues playing the way they do of course.

The rumour mill suggests that Juande Ramos is to become Chelsea caretaker manager, Guardiola to Man City and Ancelotti to Bayern.

It's a managerial merry-go-round.

If Costa is getting paid £80,000 a week, that is enough to get motivated.

Twitter went a bit mental today with reports that Guardiola has told the Bayern board that he wont be extending his current contract and will leave in May, it was all over Twitter and trending for most of the day but should be worth mentioning that there was absolutely no word on this on Sky Sports News at all, even if this did happen then it really wouldn't be a surprise because I think we all knew it was coming.

Watching the semi final for the WC for clubs, Barcelona v Guangzhou, and one of the Chinese defenders just snapped his leg in half. His foot was dangling at a very weird angle.

I think you can comfortably double that for Costa's weekly wage.

And he won't get £40M... his contract will have clause that significantly reduces how much he gets if he doesn't see out the term... and it's not like Jose has a history of seeing out his contracts - longest he's been anywhere is 3 years!

I can only think he's lost the support of the players to get sacked.
 
Good riddance, although I was hoping Moaninho would be given a bit more time... just so we could all see him lose the plot completely.

Edit: Apparently it was taken by mutual consent, so he's getting compensation for the rest of this year (12m or thereabouts).

I hope the new Chelsea manager misinterprets the phrase "guide Chelsea to the Championship" when he's employed.
