Not to be outdone by the bigger kids, the GP3 runners decided to have their own big accident - Aleksander Bosak had a tyre delaminate coming out of Blanchimont, and while he did his best to keep it off the wall, the impact ripped one of his front tyres off and pitched it across the circuit where it cleaned up the front wing and a tyre of Matt Parry as he hit the braking zone for the Bus Stop. Both drivers are okay.

He's sixteen, so you can chalk the start up to inexperience. Tony Fire's latest crash is more concerning, given that he's a part of the Ferrari Driver Academy ...
 
Seems like there's a lot of violent crashes this weekend. Kimball hitting the fence, the GP2 crash, apparently crap hitting the fan on GP3...

Bernie confirms to Brundle that the Lotus cars have been impounded. They can race, but they cannot leave the circuit.
 
I just heard that Red Bull terminated the contact for the engine supply and the australian announcer said they might go to a benz engine.

I cant see that happening.

Redbull have the advantage of chassis being one of the best in the field, so putting a fast engine into that chassis will mean it will be a RBR dominance .

I posted something on that in the Design thread, the issue probably has more longevity than just this race.

Lotus impounded over Pirelli bills, I think.
