I wish I got paid for every time that the #48's primary paint scheme has changed.

One thing I've realized is that Johnson has never had a secondary sponsor- other than Kobalt, which doesn't really count. He's the only driver I can think of who hasn't had any secondary sponsors, and it's been that way for... 12 years? I might be wrong though.

Actually Hamlin as well- only FedEx since 2006.

I think throughout Tony's time at JGR, he never had one either.

The 42 could be considered, since, on technicality, the other brands that appeared are promoted as "Target Brands".

I guess so, this year. Back in JPM's day and even back in the 90's it was Texaco-Havoline. I miss that livery, it looked really good.

Speaking of Gas-Oil liveries looking good, does anyone else think that the Shell-Pennzoil scheme looked better on Harvick's old COT than it does on Logano? The scheme has barely changed but for some reason I think it worked better on an Impala.

You brought up secondary sponsor, not primary sponsors that changed between years.

Which point are you trying to make here?

He had Subway for 3 races in 2008.

He also ran a Powerade scheme in one race, but I don't really count that.

Crap, I forgot all about the Subway Car. Does it really count though? As far as I can tell, the secondary sponsors are usually on for more then three races (Aflac/Fastenal for Edwards, Dupont/Pepsi for Gordon, M&Ms/Interstate for Busch)

I do agree that its abit odd, not really consistent or flowing from the front to the sides.

As much as I find his antics annoying sometimes, I do hope he pulls through this. I swear he can't catch a break without his health getting in the way.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think he needs to start looking for a retirement idea either something to do with spotting, etc or something else. He won't keep having high profile rides with health issues like that for much longer.

My heart just skipped a beat reading this. Poor guy. Maybe he should think about calling it quits after a year or two. next time a blood/heart thing happens again, it could be fatal, or at the very least, he may not be fit to drive a car again.

Dollars to donuts says Bret Moffit in the car until Vickers recovers.
Both MWR and Toyota are big on the guy, and there was disscussion last year on him replacing Vickers following this year if Brian didn't step it up.

What's the chance NASCAR will tell him he can't drive anymore because of the safety risk that something could happen while he's out on the track?

MWR might put him out to pasture first. If not, then I expect NASCAR to step in.

Would they tell Tony Stewart he can't drive anymore from breaking his leg?

Pretty sure Stewart himself purely on common sense wouldn't even attempt to drive if he had a broken leg.
