It is good that we finally have a fight on our hands for not only the Constructors Title but also for a Driver's Championship that is not 2 drivers from the same team.

The best part of this race was Torro Rosso giving the proverbial middle finger to RBR finishing with both cars ahead of RBR.

So weird to hear "Germany, Germany, Overalls" after all this time, followed by the froth-n-nonsense of the Italian national anthem.

I wonder if MSC is able to watch/recognise any of this? :(

Think the temperatures here helped Ferrari a lot this weekend. With Allison at Ferrari (the guy who designed the Lotus cars in 12 and 13) I think he continued the trait from Lotus that the car is generally easy on the tyres and very good in hot conditions. That and Mercs strategy did make it look relatively straight foward.

3600-and-something days to be "exact" :)

If it's had a heat cycle and they thought it wouldn't last then what can we say?
A heat cycle is talked positively but I don't think it works with these tyres but if that was the case, wouldn't have been too bad if that is how little use they had. They didn't have too many laps to do when they pitted, but pitting like one lap after Vettel with same tyres and huge margin behind, they would literally have next to no chance of winning on pure pace so I'm in a way surprised what the engineers were thinking with all the resources they have that they genuinely thought they were really going to catch Ferrari up that quickly and with both cars and finish ahead.

They were crazily deluded if that was actually the case and even as motivation to the driver, that is being ridiculously optimistic for both drivers communications. Hopefully they get their act together as I'm sure Lewis had much better understanding of the race than the engineers, don't know what Paddy was talking about stopping again in the background. I think shows how far off they were in their thinking. Really hope they get their act together in the next race, seemed they were lacking a bit in common sense but hopefully it was just a blip.

That's the spirit, Seb!

Never thought I'd say this but I'm happy for him. Fantastic stuff.
