Compare BMR's 120 starts to Honda's 60, the tricky part is not looking like such poor losers --- throw money at it, get two (well, three including Menu's stint at Brands) multiple champions on board, field twice as many cars, then start an internal slanging match when you don't win.... reeeeal professional that.

Except BMR haven't done anything wrong. They stated that there was an agreement on behaviour within the team that wasn't honoured. That's not unprofessional in any way whatsoever by anyone other that Smith. It's stating facts.

Nowhere are they saying in that that "It's not fair, we should have won, I'm taking my ball home!!"

If the rules let them run 3/4/5 or more cars and you don't like that then you look at the rules not the team that does what the rules allow.

Being inside of the rules doesn't prevent them from managing a situation poorly.

Anyway, Welch Motorsport calls this year an utter waste of time and talks about fielding a pair of Hyundai i30's next year TcT Link. It'll be kind of sad to see the Proton go, to be replaced by yet another ugly looking hatchback.

They are only picking them in the hope of getting manufactor support, same reason rob went with the Audi hoping that he would start getting funding from them.

News from AJ? The general jist is Neal out, AJ in (I can see neal maybe going but not Jordan taking his seat) or a Motorbase pairing with Jackson. That would be great but can't see it happening either.

Let the silly off-season rumours begin! :p

Even though Neal has been in BTCC for 25 years, I can't see him going out yet as he and Shedden have been a formidable pairing at Honda Yuasa. Neal (and Plato as well) have been long standing staples of the BTCC ever since the 90's.

Maybe Team Dynamics will be expanding to 3 cars to fight BMR and perhaps running Jack Clarke?

Good, it was just being abused.

So, the return of Furi's silly season driver chart for the 2016 season.

MOTORBASE / FORD
Jordan / Jackson / Cole ???
After watching the interview with David he said something along the lines of 'with two strong drivers in the form of Andrew and Mat'. That sounds like Cole won't be with them next season.

I hope Jackson keeps his seat at Motorbase. I'm not much of a Jordan fan but it could be an interesting fight if they're in the same machinery.

WSR/BMW 1 Series
Priaulx? /

Goes without saying this is the announcement I'm waiting for. But, based on the interview with TcT the other week I'm thinking he can stay with WSR, but is waiting to find out if he's going to feature in a full-time entry for the M6 GT3 somewhere.

You went 3rd person for the list, Pro move.:D

I like Jordan but hope him joining doesn't push Jackson out.

Also still hope that Priaulx is back at WSR, and I can still dream about Turkington coming back to a BMW as well :p

MG just seems to have no kept up with development, and if they're only going to be left with Goff (as good as he is) they need more to carry the team forward. Plato obviously put a lot of work in to keep that car at the front (as much I disliked that fact).

Plato said at Knockhill in 2014 that they were at the end of a 3 year development cycle. The car just isn't good enough, and fast drivers will never fix that. I think Jordan was more tempted by the thought of a factory deal, I genuinely didn't see what good could come of it.

Guessed Tordoff now this haha, have to feel bad for MG though, they're on a rocky hill down.

I assume AJ will maintain Pirtek colours but I can't imagine that looking too good on the ford :( But it will be good to see Ford taking the title fight to BMR/Honda. Jackson to finish ahead of Jordan is where i'd stick my money :p
Who's to say the mg will still be there I'm sure triple 8 will be fine with a new manufacturer

T888 + Vauxhall, sounds familiar...

Infiniti? Going through the scenarios of brands suggests it's either that or maybe Hyundai/Kia.

I Feel Infiniti is probably keen to give BTCC a decent go after the farce they went through this year.

They won't be back after what happened.

Also BTCC making a big deal out of Aiden coming back next year..... It was always going to be a minimal 3 year project.

Off-season quiz I got off the internet (answers in spoiler).

Name all BTCC cars to have raced from 2001-2015, including model variations. Production class models NOT included.

I got 39/41.
