Le Mans started under a dull safety car... and that was a boring event
Apart from the leaders dnf ing on the last lap... Oh yeah totally boring

By the way friendly reminder before the start, we don't need commentary in the thread, we are all watching it.
But those who aren't more often than not come here to see what happened. And commentary is still technically discussion. There has never been a problem with it as far as I know, until you brought it up last week.

I will agree, minor bits and pieces like "Button goes wide" or whatever, isn't that necessary.

If it starts raining again, will they hold the british GP the next day or week or will they just call it and say what ever you qualified is what place you finish?

Get rid of that Merc with the lights. They're paid millions a year to take risks. This is bleh.

Couple more laps I reckon then let them race. They should know where the puddles are by then

Funk this let them race for God's sake.

Why the **** this SC?! We gave even the sun! What the **** this modern F1 is about ?!!

Not everyone is able to watch it, and I like that I can go back through threads and follow the events of the race afterwards. What else is this thread for?

Webber is right, the safety car is going so slow because it has no grip! I saw the rear slide out on a few of the corners and it's probably on sports tyres.

Hamilton wants to race the SC, SC is too slow :P It's been 3 laps now, how long again ?

They could red flag it then try to restart it during the summer break.

Let's go already

For christ's sake, what the hell is this? Pinnacle of motorsport? I think not...

You mean that moment of sunshine the track now sees?

I do sometimes look into race threads while not paying any other attention to the race... so the "commentary" is certainly welcome.

This is a shame for f1.. Not to mention the people paying fortune to watch f1 car follow a gt car. Amazing.
And then they wonder why f1 loose spectators.

I'd rather see them race while going 50 kph on a wet track than going around 120 kph behind the safety car.
But that's not racing. That's stupid. I hate this whole "MOAR DANGER11!!" attitude - when there's a ton of standing water that's yet to be cleared, you need to clear it before you can race. That's called being sensible.

This is the point the SC should be coming in - I think the majority of the standing water has been cleared and the spray looks manageable.

Any laps under safety car from the start you are basically ripping off the fans who bought tickets to see a full race! Would have been better to delay the start.

Riveting race this is...

Do the drivers and race control have hydrophobia?

They're paid millions for the risk they're taking. Danger is part of this sport. If they don't like it they should race shopping carts.

Thank 🤬 god! Safety car in

Jesus Christ come on, the F1 cars are much faster than the SC, it's holding them up badly.

Discussion? All I mean is we don't need six people saying "Driver out", at least add some sort of discussion to it.

I don't see anyone wanting more danger. My problem is that they keep the safety car out so long now that there is no point for rain tires anymore.
