I have a few musings on the upcoming year of NASCAR racing. Really, Cup is going to be SO much different without Jeff Gordon. It is much like how Cup was so much different after the death of Dale Earnhardt Sr. back in 2001. The show still must go on and evolve. I may follow to see how Chase Elliott does taking over for a four-time Cup champion. I surely will follow Danica Patrick. I know I keep saying she will win a race in Cup even though she's mostly been mediocre against the better Cup drivers since going from IndyCar to NASCAR Cup. While I am not into the Chase for the Cup, I do like the structuring and execution of the Chase. I am not real sure what to think about XFINITY Series and Trucks. No doubt I want to check out the next Mudsummer Classic and some of the other unique Truck Series races.
I learned the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series will now be known as the NASCAR Pinty's Series, named for a Canadian grocery store company. Pinty's Series- let that roll off of your tongue. I have seen a few NASCAR Canadian races on TV before. Only courses I know of are the traditional road courses and street courses in Canada. However, there are a good number of Canadian ovals that NASCAR's Canadian series races on.
Bring on the 2016 season. I'm ready... or at least getting ready for the new season.
