Contrary to what you may think, I am not against safety at all. I just said she didn't put herself in danger. She stayed near the ambulance, below the white line, well away from passing cars.

Denny Hamlin had a similar situation at Bristol in 2014, not long after the rule was put into place. He didn't get penalized.

Seriously. She did not stay anywhere. She ventured off (past the ambulance) farther than what was allowed as per the rules. Furthermore, staying well away from passing cars implies that she stayed in the grass area by her car, which she did not. You just don't get it do you? You are just being plain silly now. Keep grasping at those straws.

Still intent on keeping this going...

Here is the video:

She went past the ambulance, but stayed below the line, the cars went by her in a single line at pace car speeds, and she didn't get near them. How did you miss that?

Seriously dude, I'm the one that showed you the video and pictures in the first place. OMG. I watched the race, I seen the whole thing happen. Just proves that you are not even comprehending what I've been posting to you. Now you are looking more foolish than ever, posting stuff that I already posted, you're making my point for me. None of what you said maters at all, period. She approached the apron and was even on it, which goes against the rule....what part of that do you not understand. You are really reaching now. I'm done trying to point out the obvious to you as you just don't seem to understand simple logic. Just wow.

PS. Do yourself a favor and watch your own video again. At 1:13 she is past the first white line and clearly on the apron of the track, only a few more steps and she would be on the actual track itself. Come on, you can't be that cement headed to not understand this. It doesn't matter what the cars on the track are doing or how slow they are going, things can still happen. At any rate, I'm done, you have given me a headache.

And the video again proved my point, she wasn't in any danger. She stayed below the line and well below the passing cars. How do you still not get that?

NASCAR is reviewing the situation now, but I'm pretty sure nothing will happen. If it was as clear a violation of the rule as you say, she would have gotten busted for it on Sunday.

I'm done as well, unless you want to keep this going.

See but there lies the problem, this is NASCAR, where I'm 90% sure Brian France doesn't even know what most of the Rulebook says.

Are you 90% sure that all the head honchos at NASCAR forgot this rule that you guys remember so clearly?

IMO Kahne is a major disappointment both to Hendrick and to NASCAR. He has not at all lived up to his early promise when he appeared to be better than Bill Elliot. I personally attribute his ills to his many concussions, which I think have left him mentally debilitated. I sincerely believe he needs to be eased into retirement.

GTP Post Of The Year for sure for absolute sheer stupidity. Congratulations 👍

When did he ever appear better than Bill Elliott?

When were these many concussions?

Mentally Debilitated? I seriously think you need to think before you type sometimes.

Eased into retirement? What is this, a retirement home?

To be fair, in 2004 he got a **** ton of seconds (13 top 5's overall) the year after Bill Elliott retired with only 12 top 10's

People forget just how hyped Kahne was coming in. Then when he won like six races in 2006 he looked like a future multi time champion.

That being said, he isn't even out of his 30's yet. No reason to start throwing the R word around.

Also what concussions? You can make a point about his legs because at this point they are basically half metal from all of his surgeries. But if he were having head problems, he'd be out of the car.

Kahne was hyped? Even after doing nothing with Yates' Busch program in 2002, and managing a decent but not earth-shattering year in 2003 with a single victory?

When he got 2nd in the 2nd race and followed that up with like 4 more seconds, he was hyped. Charlotte in the chase that year, he led a lot until his tire blew and he crashed

I thought that was Dover when that happened.

Is it Kahne struggling and/or the 5 team being bottom of the barrel at Hendrick?

I mean that team hasn't really been a major threat since like 2012/2013 at best

The 24/48 shop was the best, back when the 5/88 shop sucked. Now, the 48/88 shop is kicking ass, and the 5/24 shop is lackluster. Maybe Rick needs to reorganize again, making a 5/48 and 24/88 shop?

I think it's either the abscence of Kenny Francis as his crew chief or the lesser horsepower in the cars, or maybe Hendrick just gives him the worse equipment.

Yeah after Kenny Francis got moved out of the crew chief position Kasey hasn't been the same. It make take a new proven crew chief like Dale got with Steve.

I wouldn't doubt that Kenny Francis had a huge impact on that team. He helped turn the 19 car around when Mayfield was driving it for Evernham. He moved over to crew chief the 9 in '05, and wouldn't you know it, Kahne grabbed his first win. They proceeded to have a great run together, especially in '06.

(On a side note, I was less than pleased as a Mayfield fan. :grumpy: Nothing against Slugger Labbe, but he didn't have nearly the success in '05. His extreme consistency of top 15's easily put him in the Chase that year though. Then he got stuck in the R&D car in '06 with a crew chief whose name I can't even recall at the moment, which turned out horribly and led to his firing. Personally, I think he got a bum deal.)

Kasey just isn't good unless the car is absolutely perfect. He can't just wheel a bad handling car anymore unlike a Busch or Harvick.
Also, Mayfield wasn't fired for performance. He was fired for saying Evernham's secret relationship with Erin Crocker was ruining the team, something he was pretty spot on about judging by their performance the next couple of seasons.

That definitely was part of the reason for his firing. He also couldn't keep that piece 'o crap car in the top 35. This after making the Chase the two years prior. It may be that Ray messing around with Erin hindered the team's performance. He tried to put her in the lower ranks, but that didn't lead anywhere. And I won't comment anymore on Ray's personal life. Other than the fact that it broke up his marriage, at least he and Erin seem happy. I think she has a kid now, no? Anyway, Mayfield's career never recovered from that. He never raced a full season after '05.

At the end of the day, Ray was able to walk away with millions and a good family, even if it wasn't the one he started with. Either are incredibly unlikely in this industry.

Meanwhile, compare that with Mayfield, who last I heard was working a 9-5 and had to watch his mansion literally burn down to the ground.

I thought he was serving time for stealing and trying to illegally sell Race Memorabilia.

Considering earlier this month he tweeted about doing some local racing this year that's not the case.

I mean, Mayfield isn't in that bad of a spot now all things considered too. He could be in a much worse place.
