Am I the only one that thinks Fontana should be the final race, its the second best Oval of the season.

The poor condition of it ads to it's character and always produces a thrilling finale.

I agree, I've enjoyed it being the finale the last few years. I'll actually be there this weekend though. Can't wait! I haven't been to the Fontana track since Hornish won it like a decade ago.
I think the time it's at is crazy, just going to make sure to wear a hat and drink lots of water.....and beer!

Anything but Sonoma.

Apparently ChampCar is still running a series this year

I just did a quick google for him, he sounds...interesting, to say the least.

Get ready, folks! IndyCar ready to rock around California in a few minutes! A familiar voice and face just told the drivers to start their engines... remember a guy named Dave Despain? As in the Dave Despain who had a pretty cool show on the former Speed Channel called "WindTunnel With Dave Despain?" Yeah. HIM.

Good luck to all drivers and teams today.

Well, you can't say nothing exciting was happening now. However, your tums intake might've gone up.

So sad to see the empty seats. This race has been hands down the most exciting race if the season. Even up there with Indy.

Ah yes, Mark Plourde's handiwork...

Just looked up that site and wow, he is crazy. Remember the 24 car and the 25 car from Indy? According to his site, both are part of MP racing. WAT

I think that's the longest time an Indycar race has gone without a Caution in quite sometime.
Since last year's Indy 500 yeah.

CAUTION- Josef Newgarden and Ed Carpenter. Teammates wrecking teammates. Great shame.

Not sure if Carpenter simply didn't know Newgarden was on the outside or the car walked up the track due to loss of front downforce.
