Friendlies on tonight include Germany v Brazil for the first time since that infamous 7-1 game at the last World cup, Spain v Argentina is also on so is England v Italy.

England team. Butland, Walker, Stones, Tarkowski, Trippier, Dier, Chamberlain, Young, Sterling, Vardy, Lingard.

Spain spanked Argentina 6-1!, Hat-trick from Isco and Costa, Thiago and Aspas with the others, Otamendi got the consolation...if you can call it that.

Brazil beat Germany 0-1 in Berlin with Jesus getting the only goal.

England were denied a victory over the Italians by a late penalty that was given by VAR, slightly dubious decision, Vardy with the first and then Insigne if the penalty, draw is a fair result IMO.

Current gen of Argentina players are bad. Few months ago Messi put them in WC by himself.

Don't forget that it was just a friendly and perhaps no one cared about the game, the same goes for the Netherlands winning against Portugal. Our squad gave 110% and Ronaldo and co probably couldn't care less about the result.

Good news, that's it for the international breaks this season, the next time there will be internationals will be the warm up games for the World cup, followed of course by the World cup itself starting on 11th June.

Another friendly that happened last night was Russia v France which France won 1-3, there have been complaints today though from the French players that they were subjected to racial abuse from some sections of the home supporters, what a surprise!!

So we've been without an entire first XI of players through injury for most of this season. This includes every single player who was in the club and league player/team of the week/month/season at any point across all of 2015-17, except Adam Reach. And I'm not even joking. Our top scorer for the season, Gary Hooper, has been injured since December. Our player of the season in 2015-16 has been injured since August. Our player of the season in 2014-15 and 2016-17 has been injured since December.

Today, two of our long-term injured midfielders made their second start - the first coming before the international break - and our August-injured playmaker came back as a 77th minute substitute. And we won 4-1 against promotion hopefuls Preston, with returning Forestieri needing just 20 minutes to score his comeback goal, a direct free kick. And Atdhe Nuhiu scored his second double in two games - what's with that?

I'm pretty sure that the win against Leeds had us safe with 41pt (the 8pt and four-place gap is too much with 27pt left), but that should be us clear now. Just need to start a run to build for 2018-19.

*sort-of relieved sigh*

OK then here are the Premier League games for theis weekend after the international break

Saturday
Brighton v Leicester
Crystal Palace v Liverpool (12.30 Sky)
Everton v Man City (5.30 BT)
Man United v Swansea
Newcastle v Huddersfield
Watford v Bournemouth
West Brom v Burnley
West Ham v Southampton

Sunday
Arsenal v Stoke (1.30 Sky)
Chelsea v Tottenham (4pm Sky)

Some pretty sizeable game at the bottom end of the table tomorrow.

Los Angeles, Welcome to Zlatan.

6 minutes on the pitch:

And he also made the winning goal in the extra time.

Good win for United yesterday, the title goes to the derby between United and City on Saturday, if City win they are Champions.

Yeah a excellent 3-1 for Spurs, Chelsea were pretty bad second half and it looks like the Europa league for them next season, would be surprised if Conte lasted much longer.

Some shocking refereeing again this weekend in the Premier League. I don't ever remember the refs being this bad across the board. Now it has been the case for a long time that some of them are far too lenient and others are too strict and this will probably always will be the case but the main annoyance is that they get a number of things wrong even when it's almost impossible to get them wrong if they just apply the rules. Then people wonder why with the aid of VAR they are still some strange decisions, maybe they should look at the people using it a lot more.

It was a stupid appointment to start with, but what's a new manager supposed to do with six games left (three of which are top-six sides) and a minimum 10pt differential required? They down.

I guess prepare for the championship? :D Oh and get ready for the sale of one or two players.

EDIT:
It was already highlighted that Arsenal and City were looking at Jonny Evans in last transfer window, Now with the cheaper price in his contract when they go down I guess some teams will come in for him.
Don,t think City or Arsenal will be the ones tho?

I'm a bit surprised at West Brom problems this season as they have a good squad.

Foster, Brunt, Evans, Livermore, Barry, Phillips, Rondon, Rodriguez.....all good players.

It's been coming for a long time, last season for a long while their 37 year old centre back was their top scorer and pretty much the only way they got any points was by scoring from set pieces and keeping it tight at the back. As soon as they tried to not do this anymore because it's boring, it was never going to work, especially when Pulis has never had his teams play any other way and it's been no better since he's gone.

Southampton and even more so Stoke are in a similar situation, boring stuff at least made them hard to beat and to not play like that is almost suicide, unless you are Watford and Bournemouth who every season somehow score enough in enough games to stop up whilst being awful in some other games and conceding more than they score. No doubt their luck will run out one day too if they carry on as they are.

When the big six have so much power and money the only way the rest have a chance is defence first, unless they find a hidden gem of a striker, get lucky or they fight like crazy every single match, maybe even all of these things will be required for some. Otherwise you are counting on other teams being more rubbish than you are, this season you could argue that is just what about half of the teams seem to be doing.

Going to be hard for albion to get back to the PL next season. They might as well get a manager with experience of getting up from championship.

That's quite the list of failures.

What else, a huge number of clubs are constantly sacking their manager, there is a very small number of managers this does not apply to these days. ;)

The list of those names is pretty much the only reason why Wenger is still at Arsenal. There isn't really any other alternative. All the more reason to sack him :sly::lol:
