I also think Hamilton first has to close the enormous gap before he pitted. About 50 seconds? And then the overtaking can start. Max was closer to the back of the field

Edit: now HAMis on the tail of Sainz so now we can 'compare'

It seems like it indeed.

Race for championship and then being lapped by Maxand then teammate Bottas. Not the ideal situation for Lewis. Maybe best to take his loss and focus on Brasil?
 
If Hamilton had a healthy car he be up there with Vettel and not struggling to catch Sainz for 18th...

If Vettel didn't damage his front wing as much it might have been able to stay out and he'd be way higher. This seems almost hopeless but there's still 40 some odd laps left

*gets on radio to complain other drivers need to go back to driving school and not just hit him*

Unlikely, Mercedes it seems is just worse in dirty air than the Ferrari, Di Resta was saying Hamilton’s car is overheating when he tries to stay close.
