Engine parts are unclear.

The rules are very clear ;)

Sporting Regs 23-3-f
If a driver is replaced at any time during the Championship season his replacement will be deemed to be the original driver for the purposes of assessing power unit usage.

Vettel's car has had its engine cover removed on the grid, a crowd of concerned looking Ferrari engineers are peering at the innards. No news yet on the nature of what is surely a problem - no team removes their engine cover in front of all the other engineers unless they really have to.

pfff 6:15* AM over here. Already had two double espresso. Hopefully a good race. Enjoy!

* meanwhile 6:45 because I posted in wrong thread initially...

12:52am here. I don't mind staying up for a 1am race but anything later ends too late for me.

I really want Vettel to win so we have a competition again.

Spark plug issue for Vettel, according to Kravitz, all fixed now. We'll see... :D

Apparently it’s a spark plug problem which Ferrari think they have fixed.

So do we think Hamilton will emulate his idol and do a Senna by driving into Vettel on the start?

/joke

I don’t think he’s that stupid but stranger things have happened.

If only there was a specialized canned concoction to give you the required energy! :p

great start and nice battle between the RBR's

Max P2!!!

Kimi pushed off?! and Vettel spark issues again

Verstappen up to second now. Vettel down in 3rd.

Vettel is down on power.... Championship is over. Can't rely on Mercedes not being reliable.

That's Vettel's championship well and truly done. Big problem on his car it seems.

Vettel has serious problems with that engine. Still a great move by Verstappen, invoked images of Kobayashi.

EDIT: Safety car... Sainz being pushed out of the gravel.

I fear somebody at Ferrari’s engine department ending up sleeping with a horses head very soon.

Vettel's engine has gone to GP2 mode.

Welp. See you guys next season.

Seb now knows what a McLaren-Honda feels like.

Ferrari are a disaster.

Vettel has retired the car.

Two championships in a row decided by technical issues.

Vettel finding out why Alonso left the team?
