Jason Bright could do the Britek Racing thing for Richie. I guess I don't see a "privateer" closing a Ford without being aligned with PRA/Rusty French or DJRTP money.

Had Betty kept the three FG IIs as is and Jonathan Webb kept his Star Wars Falcon, the grid would be almost even. Especially if the S60s stayed.
True, Erebus was the best bet when they abandoned their E63 AMG program, especially since David Reynolds was going to join the team but that never happened sadly.

Yeah. I thought she would switch back.

On that note, wonder how she feels about RBHRT making the new chassis for 2018. Erebus spent time making their own Commodore. Now, back to square one.

She doesn't have to follow suit. The VF Commodores will still viable for another season. In fact it probably gives her an advantage if she decides to stick since the NG will likely need a few of its kinks checked out.

We'll see. Heads will role if RD doesn't get a win at Clips.. Uh, The Chicken Run 500, next year.

Or IMSA, whoever. I don't follow either series. It's the same thing to me.

Typically I'd agree if it were just a rule change and not a fundamental change of an entire series or merger. Which is why I still think of NASCAR as Winston or Nextel or Sprint.

I would say VASC needs a Vegas street race, but with NASCAR having 2 races there now its pointless,

There's got to be a city that used to host ChampCar/ IndyCar street circuit that had solid community following which doesn't take place anymore, that would be the ideal place to race,

Sebring, VIR, Barber Motorsport Park, Road Atlanta,The Glen, COTA(Full), suit these cars. Loads of bumps and curbs.

As amazing as Daytona, Homestead, Road America would be, they may be a bit boring.

Is Long Beach a possibility?

You mean like Belle Isle or Bayfront Park, or everyone's favorite Long Beach?

Long Beach is the easy choice logistically, but would require the Tasmania round to be moved and Indycar would need to drop IMSA from their weekend schedule. Belle Isle in early June would the most logical because that is Penske's race, but IMSA is on the schedule there too.

COTA is bad.

Sebring would be ehhh, not a good way to showcase the country to the series. Road America would be absolutely fantastic though.

Current work in Progress:

There has to be a popular one that doesn't get used anymore,

One of my cousin's was a track Marshall at Baltimore for that brief spell. I never asked or looked up, why the event was cancelled.

Houston, San Jose, Vegas, Baltimore, once upon a time Phoenix, Vancouver. None of those matter because the V8's are not coming to the US to be a headline race again anytime soon.

Those are popular and don't get used nearly as much as they could. There is no popular one that doesn't get used if there was it'd be getting used. U.S. is pretty good at making sure any revenue producing events in a city that can make money and people will attend does such.

Houston wasn't super popular, and I know for a fact after the first Pheonix race it wasn't popular after and wouldn't be possible any more here cause they've redone all downtown. Not sure of San Jose don't remember it at all, Balitmore I just recall complaints all the time from fans and drivers.

San Jose was such a good track.

Yesss. After they fixed the jump it was fantastic.

I wonder how the new owners of F1, will handle the Supercars support race, in the future.

Honestly, I'd rather the Grand Prix support round to remain as a non-points paying race unless the race format could be changed to the regular Super Sprint format. They could possibly squeeze in some longer races but it would be at the expense of the other support categories, who already don't get enough track time as is.

Sup fellas

Couldn't agree more

But the Albert Park circuit isn't particularly suited to the cars of those categories.

It's not really suited to Supercars either, but I can't imagine many people would turn up to the event if the only on-track events are Supercars and F1.

Each AGP I've been to, didn't fill the seats til Sunday anyway. The classic race cars have their tents set up. The little Ferrari pedal cars have their race. Carrera Cup. GT3. Speed Challenge. The air show. In actuality, not much goes on on the track- I forget if F4 run at the event as I only saw the initial demonstration in 2014. Most "activities" happen off track.

Supercars could do an hour race on Friday and Saturday. The stretch over four days, isn't needed. AGT could do Thursday(Practice, Qualy, Race 1) and Friday. Meanwhile, Carrera Cup can do whatever days as fillers.

I'd just like to know their view on the series. They must know it's more than just a support category.

Well, no, but you could have the Grand Prix, a proper Supercars event, a reduced support bill, and still have a decent weekend of racing. I mean, would anyone miss the celebrity challenge if it disappeared? As far as I'm concerned, that jumped the shark when they had a driver in a Plucka Duck costume with Wilbur Wilde shouting directions at him.
